Soccermom and I are having a great weekend with our Bengals winning and Bret Favre having a killer game.

Going into this game less than half a point separated me and FF opponent. I had Longwell kicking and AP. He had Minnie's defense and Jennings. So after cooling off in a game where the defense had nearly twice as many FF points as Adrian Peterson I can comment on this game.

Aaron Rodgers is good. He is really good. I'd argue he's a top 5 QB. In fact I may even put him in my top 3. What he does with that offensive line is remarkable. He is running for his life every play. If he had the protection Favre had last night he would have dissected that defense. They should have ran a lot more misdirection, draws, screens, etc to slow down that defense. Jared Allen was bringing it on every play, and they never did much to burn that pass rush. Conversely, GB kept dropping their best pass rusher Kampmann into coverage. WTF? That was like watching Hy-may Hill's use of Jorgensen.

For all of Favre's waffling, I am glad he came back if not just for that game. That game was masterful and awesome to watch. The throws he was making were ridiculous. I covet that kind of arm. The first TD pass he threw across his body to the other side of the field? Holy shnikes. The second while backpedaling? That may be the greatest arm ever. Those were lasers he was throwing. I bet his receivers hands hurt. The Vikings are legit and bonafide contenders. Their defense is stout. They have the best running game in the NFL and now teams can't just key on stopping AP. They're going to be difficult to stop.

I agree on both counts. Favre played out of his mind. I think that's why he threw that long one down the sidelines with 3 minutes left--he was feeling like he could make about any throw out there and so why not throw it up on 3 & 10?

However, Rodgers had a great game, considering, and I think most who watched it felt that way. The funny thing was that in the post-game interview, Favre threw in the little comment about how Packer management decided to go one way, with the subtle "Told ya so" implication, but I think most who watched the game didn't see it that way. Enormous ego.

I'm surprised this hasn't been talked about at all, but Favre didn't even refer to Rodgers by his name during the initial interview after the game. He simply said "their quarterback played well" and then he started talking like a guy rejected by his girlfriend. Maybe he mentioned Rodgers' name during the postgame presser, I'm not sure.

In today's rematch, Packers fans are booing Favre worse than a jilted lover. Didn't the organization force him out, tell him to retire? How dare he sign with another team.

I think if you retire twice, then sign with a divisional rival, you deserve to get booed.

The Packers gave Favre an entire offseason to make a decision before having to trade him.

Oh my gosh. The Vikings are beating the Packers! Brett Favre is proving that a few years ago, the Packers should not have gone with Aaron Rodgers....even though Favre had a horrible season ending with the Jets.

Anyway, this game totally settles the debate. Which ever team loses today will never recover and the franchise will never be the same again.

I can't peel my eyes of the TV. This is an amazing game.

So what you're saying is, everyone in Green Bay wanted to be at this game and paid scalpers 2x and 3x and 4x ticket value for the chance to boo Brett Favre? This was the "it" thing to do today in all of Green Bay? Nobody wanted to go to the cheese factory and watch them pack the cheddar, or go and collect fast offerings, or crack open a 12-pack of Miller Light and count the moose that stroll by?
