Wait a minute! I remember her now (I was having a Joe Biden moment). I heard that name and was picturing Makayla Maroney. Who is frantically trying to remind everyone that she is not THAT Makayla. Haha.

I read an article about what Skinner said about the team. I can't wrap my mind around someone being dumb enough to think that would be a good thing to say. This will be part of her legacy now.

      Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

It is now apparent that Rapinoe moving on and leaving Alex Morgan off the U.S. Women's Football team has had a very positive effect on performance on the field. They are looking very strong.

Skinner is the quintessential Ute. She takes second place and then runs her mouth about how other gymnasts suck only to see them win gold. And now everyone hates her becasue she’s arrogant without having the pedigree to be arrogant.

Well I guess we know what we'll be talking about the next few weeks. I hate the culture wars and all that, but good lord sometimes they need to be fought.

Yep. It's horrendous. And it should be fought.

I don't understand how the IOC let this happen, if he/she really is genetically a man.

Yeah, how on earth did this happen? Good grief.

I don't know what you all are griping about. All I see is progress, freedom, and equality.

So I think I should not have posted about that boxer. It appears that she's a biological female. Now I feel like that mean Utah school board member.

From the embedded tweet: "Some people with DSD are raised as female, but have XY sex chromosomes, blood testosterone in the male range, and the ability to use testosterone circulating within their bodies."

Khelif has been ruled as biologically male and banned from last years world championships. The basic fairness issue sill stands.

All this said, mrs. myboynoah said she read where some boxing oversight body did not let this boxer participate in the latest world championships. Don't know if that is true or not. There is so much crap out there it's hard to know where the truth is.

The actual Reuter's article is not nearly as definitive as that poster (Ash Sarkar) would lead you to believe.

                                Yes. From the Reuters article:

Khelif and Taiwan's double world champion Lin Yu-ting were cleared to fight in Paris after the IOC last year stripped the IBA of its status as boxing's governing body over governance issues, and took charge of the Paris 2024 boxing competition.

Both had been disqualified at the 2023 World Championships after failing International Boxing Association (IBA) eligibility rules that prevent athletes with male XY chromosomes competing in women's events.
IBA Chief Executive Chris Roberts, whose organisation's relationship with the IOC has soured, was disappointed for Carini.

"These two boxers are not allowed to box within IBA. So I find it remarkable how the IOC applies a different condition to this event," he said.
