  • Directors' Cup standings

Kind of cool that BYU is at the top of the final fall Learfield Directors' Cup standings.

    https://nacda.com/news/2022/1/13/dir...standings.aspx

They edged out Notre Dame, Michigan, and Wisconsin by accumulating 368 points on the strength of 2nd place finishes in Women's Cross Country and Soccer, top 10 finishes in Men's Cross Country and Women's Volleyball, and a top 25 finish in Football.

Edit: Somewhat surprisingly, Stanford is all the way down at 17th. Maybe their sports are more weighted to the winter/spring seasons? They're not even the top Pac-12 team. That honor goes to Washington at #7. Utah comes in at a respectable #34, 5th in the Pac-12.

No, not just "kind of cool" that is fantastic. It is a wonderful time to be a BYU fan!

Kinda funny that Georgia and NDSU are tied for 64 with only 100 points for their football championships. Not bagging on the one trick ponies because those are quite the respectable ponies to have, just that it is a funny coincidence.
