Really these "running into the ground" years are better than anything BYU has produced in the past 20 years.

bump... Utah went 9-5 in Non Conference games. They are 1-0 (wyoming) in the mwc

This thread sets the record for ignorant posts from BYU fans.

Shouldnt you be more worried about your Hoyas losing two straight in the Big Least?

You remind me a lot of DDD, you are a Ute basketball fan when they are winning but when they are down you jump on the Hoya bandwagon.

I just don't know how when Majerus left a cupboard full enough for Kerry Rupp to win the MWC tournament and take the Utes to the NCAA playoffs, and Giacoletti to dominate the MWC, then take the Utes to the Sweet 16, anyone can say Majerus "ran the team into the ground." The best Utah player TODAY is, truth be told, a Majerus recruit. Utah hasn't struggled the last three years because of anything Majerus did except quit. They have struggled mainly because Giacoletti was a really really terrible recruiter. You could see it happening which is why he was fired only two years after the Sweet 16.

BYU fans' hatred for Majerus is unfathomable. The thing is, no one outside Utah agrees Majerus was anything but a godsend to the Utes to the last day of his work there.

I think both my teams will be in the NCAA playoffs this year.

I liked Majerus. He was my favorite Ute coach in the short time I have paid attention to Utah.

I also don't think Utah making the tourney is out of the question. I think it is pretty likely the MWC will send 3 teams to the tourney unless there are some late season precipitous falls, ala AFA in 2005-2006.

Presently any rational and objective onlooker would agree that Utah is at least equal to San Diego State and clearly ahead of UNM for that 3rd spot, after BYU and UNLV. Further, Utah is rising and we all know SDSU will choke on the road in conference a couple of times. Big game for the U this saturday in that regard.
