Utah cancelling series vs BYU thread

Before this episode, I rooted for the Utes in conference and rooted for them when they defeated Duke this season. Now, it is easy again to root against them as long as Koward coaches there. He is a complete doofus, without integrity or fortitude. Let the Ute program rot in hell.

I don't get why Utah doesn't just tell the truth and be transparent about their motivation. These types of comments are going to invite all types of scrutiny of their players and lead to who know how much nonsense from the press about every physical play their players are involved in. Why expose yourself and your players to wasting so much time on such a stupid subject that dumb people love?

Attempting to package your intent with an appeal to moral highground is just dumb, IMO.

The matter of fact is that there is nothing wrong with their intent. It is Chris Hill's job to do what is best for Utah and he should explain it in those terms. It is clearly dickheadish and arrogant but and I would think most Utah fans would want to play BYU, but the reality is he doesn't need BYU so just state it like it is instead of injecting a dose of viagara into the off the field rivalry that is re-injected each time a Ute player does something emotional, stupid or can be referenced as dirty.

All is was doing was passing on Britton Johnsen's perspective on the situation. I thought it was interesting and maybe explained how Krystkowiak arrived at his stupid decision, which then Hill manipulated to get what he wanted.

Are you being honest or just snarky? I repeat again, that I think Krystkowiak is stupid to be pissed off. However, Britton Johnsen explained his perspective on it during a Jazz game.

Britton stated that while he likes and respects Dave Rose, Rose and the BYU bench failed to control Emery immediately after the punch. Emery was allowed to disrespectfully yell at Krystkowiak and point at him and tell him to sit down. Disrespecting a college coach wasn't tolerated when Britton played.

Britton then mentioned that if Majerus ever found out that he disrespected an opposing coach or visiting player, he would have been forced to go to opponents locker room immediately after the game and apologize in person. He mentioned that several Utah players he played with had to do this and the next week of practice for those guys was complete hell they were immediately in Ricks dog house.

I really don't care what that fat asshole would have done. We don't always get what we want out of life. The other guy doesn't always do what would would like him to do. People rarely give us the level of contrition that we demand. So what? I'm sure the krybaby has experienced this before. I guess in the past he just punched people in the mouth and felt justified because he was "provoked." The guy is a hypocrite.

Just read Utah by 5 for a few moments and you can see there are bunch of delusional fans, who think Koward's explanation makes sense and that they are being completely forthright. Second, if you can lay blame elsewhere, you can diffuse those in the fanbase who want to see this game. "See, our rival is so low brow, we are doing everybody a favor by not playing." IOW, being dishonest is innate for Hill and now apparently for Koward.
