Just received my tickets to the final four and championship games. I'm in the nose bleeds but got the tickets at cost since I drew out of the raffle. One of the perks of living in Houston.

I suppose this is true as long as it's on a neutral court or in a tournament with the full coverage and promotion of the ESPN hype machine. There is still a long way to go, IMO. Try to get one of those teams to just do a home/home with a decent team and it rarely happens. For example, I don't think Duke has played a true non-conference road game in at least a decade (other than the one time every other year they're forced to by the Big 10/ACC challenge)Originally posted by Topper View PostThe great thing about college basketball is that the best teams play other great teams in pre-season. Would you ever see Alabama play Ohio State? Baylor play Michigan State?
Kansas v. Michigan State, Duke v. Kentucky and the like make pre-season college ball just as exciting as conference time.

That is golden material. Thus, I can count on you to whiff on it.Originally posted by mpfunk View PostYou are right. I haven't even used the golden trolling material that is BYU's loss to Long Beach State.

You have morphed doesn't go to games to doesn't watch games. I watch the games. I just don't go to games.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostThis is all he has. He is not a Utah fan (the guy doesn't even watch the games) he is a BYU hater first and foremost.

While you clearly disagree, for most of us acting like a dork on another school's fan board doesn't add meaning to our enjoyment of a sport season.Originally posted by mpfunk View PostI'm confused what adds meaning to the season and what doesn't? I thought only a national championship is meaningful. Is it now that playing for a tournament national championship is meaningful enough. Is it making a tournament for a national championship what counts as meaningful? So 4 college football teams are allowed to claim a meaningful season, but 68 college basketball teams can claim a meaningful season? This is confusing.
So winning a P5 title in college football = meaningless. Winning the Southland Conference tournament = meaningful.

Funk, you should just permanently give up on trolling. Sit back and leave it to the professionals. It's OK. We all suck at certain things.

You just realized this last night??Originally posted by mpfunk View PostI was very excited about the Utes victory over SDSU last night. Good non-conference win early in the season. However, I realized that the Utes are not going to win a national championship this year, making the season meaningless.
