I'm not sure if you realize this, but Tyreke Evans is African American. Doesn't that violate some kind of comp rule?

So, you're saying KC can make an NBA roster as is, and then do nothing with his career? Quite the endorsement!

All the white guys in the NBA are shooters or post players! KCs game defies logic and stereotypes.

I have seen nothing that has me down on Bartley. I have seen very little that has me excited about Bartley as well. Well, that isn't true when I see him play I think he is pretty athletic and I think he could be a good player the next couple of years. My concern is that he isn't playing very much. I don't know why but I tend to think the reason is that the coach doesn't think Frank will help a great deal as from what I can tell from Cougarnation Bronco Mendenhall is the only coach who purposely doesn't play his best players to ensure his chances of losing are the highest. From what I have seen I tend to think I don't want Frank to transfer, but the point of my musings is I am wondering in type if perhaps Coach Rose doesn't share my concerns about Bartley. Part of what I am wondering is whether or not as the season has progressed and Chatman is regaining his legs and getting healthy whether or not Jordan's future has the coaches comfortable that if Bartley were to leave after this season he would not be missed. My point is I think if the coaches were real concerned about Frank transferring he might play a little bit more. Is that clear? I like Frank, but mostly I want to like him if he will be good and his playing time leaves me concerned that perhaps if I knew what the coaches knew perhaps I wouldn't like him as much as I do. I think we BYU fans sometime see a black kids that are athletic and suddenly think we have arrived. We drop a few Stu Scott (GRHS) quotes and think we are really cool - especially those of us who come to the sweet confines of this venue so we can indiscriminately drop F-bombs or make gratuitous fake ta-ta comments. However, we often forget how frequently our less athletic, but better basketball playing white boys, beat teams that are far more athletic but just not as good at playing basketball. I think Winder has developed into a really good college player and my hope is Bartley can do likewise.

As I said I think even if Collinsworth is around next year there is a good chance for Bartley to play quite a bit next year for BYU. If KyleTripleDouble goes pro somewhere he will get an even better opportunity especially when one considers that perhaps Nick Emery's health might be a concern.

Very few college players are good enough right now to say they're a guarantee to be an NBA starter without any improvement whatsoever in their game. I expect him to make an NBA roster. And then it's up to him how far he can go. He has the physical talents. I don't think it's a huge leap to see him developing a better shot between now and whatever point in a few years that an NBA team might give up on him had he not developed it.

For him personally, I hope you're right. I just don't see an NBA team drafting him this year. It would be a shame to give up eligibility for a chance to make an NBA team. Selfishly, I want him to get 100% healthy and make himself a more attractive NBA prospect at BYU in 15-16.

                  • Maybe you guys have already seen this from KC.

"Well, I am a little bit older, because of the mission. I plan on having a big year, and if I do, if the opportunities come, I will take them. So, I am not committed to four years. I am not going to say I am going to leave early, but if the opportunity comes, I will take it. .. If there are people predicting me to be a first-round draft pick, then I will go," he said. Collinsworth knows he has the athleticism needed to play profession al basketball, but his shooting really needs to improve — especially his free-throw shooting. To that end, he said he's been working with a shot doctor of sorts — Kirk Miles — to improve his percentages from the charity stripe and the field. "I have spent a ton of time on free-throw shooting," he said. "I have a new routine, and have been working with different people, so I am excited. I have a shooting coach that I am working with right now, Kirk Miles. He gives me a different perspective. He's been really good."
                    Seems like the right idea.

                    • Kyle will never appear to be NBA material, because of the effeminate way he holds his off hand while dribbling. He has never looked comfortable dribbling. That's why his athleticism is so surprising. SJBH.

See this is why he should have kept the Russian Mullet. Nobody would notice any effeminate attributes if he were still rocking the mullet.

Yeah, but Katy Lied never mentioned anything effeminate when he had the Russian mullet. Now he has the cowlick and look what happened.

                              • Tweet today from Cougar Club luncheon said that Rose stated Aytes may be on the court in 3 weeks. If Aytes can get up to speed over the end of January and through February and provide some back to the basket offense this team would be a lot better.

The 4 guard offense is fun to watch, but to be able to compete when we aren't scorching the nets we need better post play.

Kaufusi developing and then getting Aytes and Austin sometime in late January gives me hope that this team can still get it together.
