Why are we talking about the Aggies? Did they do something to merit discussion? I mean, I know we played them yesterday, but does anyone really think about them beyond the one game a year we play them?

I think a day after to discuss is fair, but yeah, it's over now.

That's not it for me. Nothing specific about what they do. Just that they're a little too in to it. I get this feeling when I see them.

Me too, actually. I also get the sense that they are just extremely pleased with themselves for their cheers in the way a synchronized swimmer or rhythmic gymnast on the podium might be. Which is why I love it when they lose. It's like we defeat the Borg and it dissipates.

Exactly. The best student sections are nationally recognized. They're funny. They know when to cheer. They have synchronized chants, claps, movements, cheers, etc. They stand up the entire game. They're loud. They're relentless even in a loss. They provide an intimidating environment for opposing teams.

I don't understand why anyone is ripping on the Hurd. I too wish the ROC were more like them. We could use that kind of enthusiasm. And for the record I hate Utah State and wouldn't care if we never played them again in anything.

I think having the neutral site game was good for the ROC as they were able to see in person what the HERD does and I won't be surprised to see the ROC step it up in future Marriott Center games. The "chant off" at the end of the game was pretty good on both sides. I loved that the HERD was noticeably upset that BYU would use their cheers against them.

Agreed. I also heard that many BYU students were turned away from the game because they didn't have enough tickets. I like what the ROC is turning into but it has a ways to go.

Let me be clear. I admire what their student section does. I wish our student section would even just all wear the same shirt to the game. I just hate the shit out of Utah State, and I think the synchronized pointing is dorky.

I really don't get it. He is a damn near impossible guy to not like. I don't how he produces at BYU, but I have nothing against the guy. The best that I can come up with to dislike about him is that he doesn't give rivals anything to dislike about him.

I actually am even having a hard time rooting against BYU basketball these days. It is easy to want the football team to lose, but I've become indifferent to the basketball team because of Rose.
