    It will happen.

If Butler could do it twice then BYU can make the Final Four too. Just need a team with a few good seniors. That Jimmer team was really close.

If Mika stays this team is good enough next year.

Wait, are you saying there's a chance?

        I'm like LeBron James.

Danny Ainge-led teams were 0-2 in the tourney his soph and junior years. Like Jimmer, the special run didn't happen until the senior year. I'm banking on the same for Haws.

Take a little longer and think about it. Now do you really believe that? I just don't see it until we get a point guard that can finish at the basket and in the game. I love Collinsworth going to the bucket unless they foul him and he has to shoot free throws.

Assuming normal progression from the key players, yes I do.

Mika will be much better as a sophomore and could be a legit 20 and 10 guy (he is already at 14 and 7 against one of the toughest schedules in the country and I would expect those numbers to increase during WCC play).

KC will be another year removed from his mission and will be better next year. He does need to learn how to finish at the rim, but don't expect the free throws to ever improve. He was bad all through high school as well.

Carlino is who he is, he will not change and will always be the wild card.

Haws is consistent and will score 25 a game next year.

I expect Bartley to take a big leap next year after a year in Dave Rose system.

Halford is a great role player that will be a senior leader.

With Chatman and Neilson returning from missions that gives us more athleticism on the perimeter along with more depth in the front court.

This team if Mika were to stay could make a deep tourney run next year.

If Mika leaves I think we are a similar position as this season fighting for a 10-12 seed.

Finishing at the basket and in the game (whatever the hell that means) is not the problem.

Defense is BYU's problem. If they could hold teams to less than 90 points (which should be realistic, I think), they would be sitting comfortably in the top 25 right now.

I agree that is more of a problem. With that being said we played man almost the entire game against Oregon, they shot 40.7% from the floor and 31% from three. You can definitely live with those numbers.

The difference was Oregon taking 5 less free throws yet they made 3 more.

People look at Damarcus Harrisons shooting numbers and discount him transferring. But he was a very good perimeter defender and a great athlete. Against Oregon, Rose brought in Winder at the end of the half for defensive purposes. That is the first time in his 8 years as HC that I have ever seen him substitute like that.

We need more athleticism and quickness on the perimeter. If we sacrifice 10-12 points a game so be it. Charles Abouo wasn't a great scorer, he scored just enough to be dangerous but he was a lock down defender that helped this team in a lot of ways.

                    I agree with this.
"Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

Had we had Brandon Davies in 2011 I think we would have made it to the Final Four if not the championship game. After Florida we would have faced Butler and VCU. It could have been Jimmer vs Kemba. That would have been epic.

Had Brandon not gone out we would have been seeded higher and the entire tournament would have been different. At the time we were slotted as the #1 seed in the west.

So it isn't a done deal Mika is leaving. If he stays, yes I think they could be a dang good team next year. Without him I would agree a similar team to this year, maybe down a bit.

Maybe if he says the fuck word enough on national tv he'll be asked to forgo his mission. Can't have that kind of language out in the mission field.

I think that is fairly common language among kids these days. Maybe for a long time. I remember coaching my oldest in a American Legion game about 20 years ago. We were playing a team from St. George. Their pitcher got ticked and went on a tirade with the F word being screamed several times.

The guy I was coaching with was the Seminary Principle at PGHS. I said, wow what a foul mouth. He responded with yea and the kid is leaving in two weeks for the Cleveland, Ohio, Mission.

I too would develop a potty mouth if I was chosen to serve in the Cleveland, Ohio mission.
