In fairness, I never really did have much credibility.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostYouve just lost all credibility.
With that said, I felt like you backed me into a corner with your earlier comment challenging me. It was in a classic movie where the main character said in a moment of desperation, 'Nobody puts baby into a corner.' That is how I felt (to clarify - I was 'baby' and I was 'put into a corner') and I included several posters in my comments that actually never said they wanted me to talk about the Utes (included in that group was CJ, Waters and Jay Santos). I apologize.

The main character wasn't in any moment of desperation when he said that line.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

There is nothing desperate about returning to the resort to dance in defiance. In fact, the movie was actually going to be called "Defiant Dancing" but was changed to "Dirty Dancing" at the last moment because the studio felt that the original title was too aggressive.Fitter. The movie was going to be called 'Desperately Grinding' but they changed it to highlight more of the dance part, not just the beautiful grinding taking place.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostThere is nothing desperate about returning to the resort to dance in defiance. As everyone can see by that clip, you could see the pain, desperation and hope in Patrick's words and eyes. He had to fight for his woman, he was desperate for her. His passionate and strong willed plea out of a desperate love led him to utter the legendary words of not putting baby in a corner. If he was defiant, he would have uttered, 'Oh no you did not think you could put baby in a corner! You can't and you won't because I will not allow it.' His desperation kept the quote short and sweet and heartfelt. It is what made Patrick so good at his craft.

He was criticizing Baby's parents. He wasnt even speaking metaphorically, but commenting literally on her seat at the table. Had she been seated on the end of the table he may never have even stopped to talk to them.Originally posted by UteStar View PostThe movie was going to be called 'Desperately Grinding' but they changed it to highlight more of the dance part, not just the beautiful grinding taking place.

A better example of desperation would have been when he was trying to help Penny after her abortion.

You have lost all credibility again."Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." - Winston Churchill
