When I get tired of listening to the 5 jazz artists and 5 hip-hop artists that I listen to, I occasionally like to listen to a sports broadcast when I'm driving. My wife really really hates it when the broadcast involves Greg Wrubell.

I have to agree with you here. I never listen to BYU broadcasts, I can't stand listening to Wrubell so it doesn't happen. I realized that while listening to pre and post game broadcasts between the years of 2006 and 2009.

His pre and post game make his play-by-play look good. You missed out on the worst of it.

I'm curious as to funk's thoughts on BYU's waterboy. I mean, does he fill the cups up too much? Is he quick enough on delivering water to the basketball players after they sit down? How does he compared to Utah's waterboy...or better yet, the waterboys from all PAC 12 schools.

Here is the deal. Everyone hates Riley because he is bad. Ute fans hate Wrubell because he is BYU. That's it.

Does Wrubell get overexcited? Yes. But he is also perfectly prepared and detail oriented. He paints an excellent mental picture, especially for basketball. For football, he is always right up to speed on who is coming in and out of the game, and which formations are being used, where players are lining up on each play before the ball is snapped. He has every stat you could imagine immediately at his finger tips. I think he does an excellent job.

Yeah, I fail to see what you are saying...or this video does little to prove your point. I get that you don't like the BYU homerism that is shown by his being excited during the play calling is there as to what is actually happening in the game. Just face it, you don't like the homerism and you are jealous that BYU has a real pro behind the mic while Utah would be better served by having scooby-doo call the games as opposed to Riley and the doof who did it before him.

Also, how could you with a straight face say Wrubell does not know what he's doing or that he's terrible as a play-by-play guy? This just doesn't make any sense. He's articulate, knowledgable, and even funny. He is a BYU homer...PERIOD.
