What memories. My Dad was BYU faculty at that time, and we went to the games in the Fieldhouse. Ernest L. would do push ups at half time. When the Marriott Activities Center opened, we had season tickets on row 13. I can remember as plain as day the game where Cosic went 12 for 12. Paul James made such a big deal about it....Originally posted by TexTechCoug View Post

When I attended BYU, I remember Nibley in the Richards Building locker room, a place he frequently haunted. I showered with him a few times and thought to myself... I never want to get old and wrinkly like that. And now I am.Last edited by clackamascoug; 01-31-2013, 10:37 AM.

We're one week into a trip in the Balkans and Dolomites and it's been a blast. In the course of conversations with many of the locals, I manage to slip in that the missus and I attended the same school in the U.S., and at the same time, as Kresimir Cosic. Every time the local reacts with awe, almost reverence, as the guy is highly revered throughout Croatia. Our guide today wasn't even a basketball player (although he's a competitive spear fisher, and also just co-authored a definitive work on Mediterranean mollusks!), but he grew up next to Toni Kukoc who is also a big fan of Kresimir. Tuesday we're going to make a side trip to Zadar to take a picture of his statue outside the Kresimir Cosic Sports Arena, a kind of pilgrimage.

That’s really cool. I look forward to seeing your pictures from this trip. Sounds like a great time.Originally posted by PaloAltoCougar View PostWe're one week into a trip in the Balkans and Dolomites and it's been a blast. His wife’s Instagram story feed is a blast. You can hear PAC In the background arguing with the locals about Trump. Lol.Originally posted by Art Vandelay View Post

Request granted! It would be hard to overstate how great Croatia (with side trips to Montenegro and Sarajevo) has been thus far. Truly spectacular.Originally posted by Art Vandelay View Post
Follow request sent. PAC might want to warn his wife why random dudes from WA are wanting to follow her.

We were in Croatia (split) for three months a few years back. I loved Croatia, but Bosnia was the true hidden gem! No one goes there, but it’s like Switzerland without snow!Originally posted by PaloAltoCougar View Post

I didn't really enjoy my trip there in '98. Probably was due to living in a conex for the 5 months I was there and having to carry around an M-16 everywhere I went also.Originally posted by Applejack View Post

That explains all the Copelius and Goatnapper graffiti we've observed here and in Bosnia.Originally posted by Copelius View Post
