Can't wait to hear why this is not actual progress.

      Haha!

It sounds short sighted, but I honestly forgot that it can be fun watching Utah Basketball.

That was a great gameplan, and Brandon Taylor was the truth.

When you do your official game recap, I need you to work in the fact that Lorenzo Romar will be playing Gregory Hines in an upcoming bio-pic!

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

          Nor can I.

I didn't get to watch the game, I had to follow on gametracker. For those that did watch, was Dubois playing poorly, or did it look like he was looking to facilitate more than score? Looking at the stat sheet, his 5 points on 2 shot attempts stands out to me. I wonder if Coach K asked him to not shoot as much.

I'm fairly certain he was sitting directly behind the Utah bench. But wearing a blue shirt?

1 step forward....1 more step forward....1 more step forward....2 big steps backwards....another couple of steps backwards....

and then a couple big steps forward.

It's fun to watch this team grow and come together, but it's also a bit painful. Tonight, it's all good and it's fun to see the Utes get a "big" road win.

I did not expect this. It was a great surprise and is almost makes up for the horrible home showing vs. USC last Saturday.

Dubois got in some early foul trouble and had to sit. Taylor came in and was playing so well that it was a no brainer for him to stay in the game.

I think Taylor deserves great props. That kid came out of nowhere and may have a nice Jim Soto-type future as PG. Props also to the defensive effort and an aggressive offense (at last!). I think this team's biggest problem this season has perhaps been mental, so this is a huge win from that standpoint. The confidence boost ought to be huge (for example, they now know they can play well for 40 minutes and hold off a late charge from a talented opponent). I'm hoping the confidence boost will also help their free throw shooting under pressure, which made last night's ending much more interesting than it needed to be.

Not sure if the link will work, but Jeff Ament and Coach K are friends and Ament was at the game last night.

Only a fool would try to diminish last night's win. Bigger fools come in the form of people who would expect others to downplay it.

                              LA, you're full of crap.

I was six feet from the team the whole game. I can't say enough good things about Taylor. He has a lot more potential than Soto. He's dangerous from anywhere on the court offensively, and a great penetrator, and also runs the motion offense like nobody we've seen since Mark Jackson. He had 19 points and six assists playing 35 minutes against a really athletic team. After the game Romar said that Washington had no answer for Utah's pick and roll, and Taylor was the biggest part of that, leveraging the big bodies setting the hard picks.

The players respect him, and you can see on his face the self confidence radiating, that he's an assassin. During one timeout Syemour came over and affectionately mussed his hair. The players knew Taylor was their general, the guy who was making it all happen for them. His last steal after the Washington timeout was the dagger in the heart. I love that kid.

I can't help but think that if our coaches had early on just taken a chance on him like Pete Carroll did Russel Wilson, we'd be in a better W-L place right now. This is not the first time he has been dominant.
