FWIW, I didn't think we'd force OT and lose by a point. The score leaves me wondering, did anyone try and force tempo? After last years Utah team, it would be easy to say we were the ones mucking it up. But Sendek is notorious for slowdown hoops from his days at NC State and Miami of Ohio. I would like to hear some perspective on this issue.

2002: NCAA 1st Round
2003: 2nd Round
2004: 2nd Round
2005: Sweet 16
2008: CBI 2nd Round
2009: NCAA 1st Round (IIRC this is the year the last Majerus-recruited player graduated)
Only Boylen's last 2 seasons had losing records. So it is a mistake to say Utah has had a long drought of bad hoops. It's been a 3-year drought. Prior to that spell of mediocrity (or just plaint awfulness last year) we had 7 seasons that were pretty good, but mostly unsatisfying because of what Big Rick had gotten us used to prior to 2002, which was an era when "one and done" was not what Utah basketball teams did.Last edited by LA Ute; 01-03-2013, 11:32 AM.“There is a great deal of difference in believing something still, and believing it again.”

You guys have just done more while you were there. So you may want to amend your earlier statement.
