Funk, you should come back. This looks to be the development of a much better team than in the previous 4 years. I could not believe the discipline, the smart play, the basic defensive sets. Case in point: Washburn is much better. Let me say it again: Washburn is much better. I'm not going to call him heady yet, but you can actually see him going through thought processes prior to make a move down low. His replacement center will outshine him by the mid-season break, and will take over starter position in the second half of the season. There were no boneheaded moves (okay, one errant pass to the back up center Brzenzskii) and just 1 or 2 really bad passes and they broke the press several times and no one played with Drca Desperation. No one played beyond themself. No razzle dazzle plays executed by players unable to keep up. A solid, solid come-together of good pre season preparation.
