    I hate using the word "optics" to describe how something appears.

      "cancer deadwood". Ouch. Kind of tasteless if you ask me.

      What ever happened to her brother?

        Coming home from a mission this month, iirc.

                  This thread prompted me to read the Wikipedia article on Judkins, who is an old friend of mine and of my family, and was a star at Utah during my freshman year. 98% of the article is about his playing days at Highland High and Utah, and his NBA career. The article mentions that he has coached the BYU women's team for 11 years; he has done this as long as those playing days combined. That's it about his coaching the women's team, and he's been a successful coach. Not the kind of detailed year by year breakdown and PR that is there for the coaches of men's teams like Rose. Pathetic. Juddy is too humble to write his own Wikipedia article, but this ought to be part of the SID's job decription. Speaks volumes about BYU's ethos.

                    Agreed. BYUs ethos is one of humility, not braggadocio.

                        My favorite part about this post is how you didn't even bother to check Utah's coaches.

                        Here is the Wiki page for former Utah coach Elaine Elliott, who is the "winningest basketball coach in school history". It is 7 lines long with no stats other than her total record.

                        [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elaine_Elliott"]Elaine Elliott - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]

                        Here is where I would put the link to the page of current coach (for two years) Anthony Levrets, but alas, he doesn't have one.

                        Speaks volumes about something, I am sure.

                          What do you mean. The entir article was about her record coaching the women's team, winning percentage, etc.

                            I was left wondering what she did as a college player and how successful her NBA career was.
