Please be more to the story.

I can't think of many scenarios where the right thing to do is cut a girl that just beat cancer. Good heavens, Juddy.

Ouch, tough article. What does Judkins get by cutting her scholarship this late in the game?

Maybe she was the source of the Reuters article.

          Too soon?

Would it have killed them to just let her finish it out?

            Unbelievable.

Trying to figure out what the article means.

It says that she is still on scholarship because she signed papers at the end of the last year.

So does this mean that she is on scholarship but just not on the team?

Just seems weird. If BYU were highly competitive in women's BBall and/or the coaches were on the edge of losing their jobs, I could see something like this as a reaction to needing to get better fast. But this seems silly.

This doesn't make any sense at all. I wonder what Rose thinks about this.

Didn't Judkins play and coach at Utah? Perhaps we should be saddened, but not surprised by the actions of this ute.

Apparently, judkins doesn't think she is a very good student, either.

I am happy for her physical health. Really good to see her have success against cancer. This development is strange, to say the least. What good does the release do her? Even if she transferred to the U, doesn't she have to sit a year, in essence burning her final year of eligibility?

Rose probably doesn't think much if anything at all about this.

Didn't Alexis say that she and Judkins sat down and discussed the things she needed to work on to continue with the team? Apparently he didn't think she did those things or enough. She overcame extremely difficult circumstances to get back on the court and for that she should be commended. But she didn't contribute much and likely wasn't going to this season either. Judkins is a hell of a coach. If he felt this was best for the team then I trust his judgment.

If she didn't have cancer, would anyone care?

While I think her recovery is commendable, obviously there were some issues that put her continued involvement in question. The optics for this are terrible, but I trust that Judkins was doing what was best for the team.

People might care just because her father is a football coach, but really no. Would anyone be saying this about Martineau if he overcame similar odds?
