  • The 2012 March Madness/NCAA Tourney Thread

I just realized the tourney is starting in just over a week and my wife will be gone with the kids all of next week.

Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Lame that March Madness on Demand is no longer free. Smart, though. They (whoever they are) will make a killing...

I here there are freebie codes out there (the_Tick would like to take this opportunity to announce that I am a cheapskate... have at it, Tick), anyone know of how to access these codes?

It would take an 'act of God' to derail BYU at this point.

      I predict 13 seed in Omaha AND a 1st Round win. . .

      Good luck!

You're very kind, but the way BYU has played of late there's no way it beats a 4-seed.

As much as that would please me, I believe Omaha is a Friday/Sunday site.

wait, are you talking about the online streaming? I'm totally SOL if that's the case. My wife is not going to be happy.

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

Sounds crazy, yet I'd prefer to be a 12 seed -- as BYU is currently predicted -- rather than the 8/9 seed line where Gonzaga will most likely end up.

IF BYU can get past the 1st Round, which is very possible considering your front court is getting healthy and possibly the best tandem West of the Mississippi.

Then you're sitting pretty for potential S16 birth, while Zags would be overwhelmed by #1 seed. No chance this season.

                  It's only 3.99.....

It appears, however, that CBSsports.com will be showing all the games live anyway. Should be alright.

March is the most magical time of the year. Love that bracket action. I start listening when ESPN is on the TV, and googling teams like Davidson and Butler and VCU. I think it satisfies the egalitarian in me--everyone getting a chance to advance and the whole cinderella dance. And the winners cry as if they were 10 year olds.

I don't have TV right now (I know, I know) so I watch most of the games online anyways. Is this 3.99 thing a superior stream?

No clue... If you have had the free march madness on demand in the past, then you know what kind of quality this stream will have.

I assume the website streams will be the same...

Lunardi has Vanderbilt as a 6 playing in Nashville. that would be quite an advantage.

I seen a bracket earlier with BYU as a 12 against 5 Temple, wonder how good of a match-up that would be. Never seen much of Temple.

The Bearcats of Cincy is on FIRE right now. It is ridiculous. They are 8-10 from deep.
