    Utes v Trojans

Nice. 14 pts in the first half. My 11 year old's team scored 13 points in the first half of their game today but that was with eight minute quarters and a running clock (except during free throws).

But was your kid's team playing against the mighty USC Trojans?

If Kareem Storey could have had one free throw our starters would have had a perfect 5,4,3,2,1 scoring sequence. Maybe by the end of the game there will be a Fibonnaci sequence.

I just got home and turned it on!

          32-14?

Also, it appears that #11 and #13 both started the second half. I will not learn their names.

This will be an awesome comeback!

Well, l'll report from here in the Galen Center. This is a very nice arena, good sight lines, chair seats everywhere. Parking was a breeze, probably because there are around 2,000 people here. I think some guys are playing basketball down on the floor, but I can't tell if it's a pickup game or an organized league of some sort.

I wonder if TopUte is at the game. I'm looking forward to his firsthand report of all the progress and hope.

Well, the Utes have cut it to 20 at 46-26. The comeback has begun!

Cedrick Martin is about to go off, y'all.

3 walk-ons on the floor right now for the Utes. Yowza.

This must be what it was like to watch those classic Fischer v Spassky chess matches.

I love the Utes. Really, I do. But is there any difference at all between the walk-ons and the scholarship guys?

Well, yeah, I guess. The walk-ons are white.

49-31. The Trojans are starting to grip.

You can just feel the momentum shifting. #11 and #13 continue to be in.

                          51-35.

Utah just keeps chipping away. Plus #13 scored.

                          Who gives a shit?

Hey, one of them just hit a shot.

But seriously, I asked one highly-placed and knowledgeable source yesterday which of these players would be back next year, and he said it almost doesn't matter, that even the best players on this team shouldn't see more than 15 minutes per game on a good team.

Just thought I'd share that cheery bit of info.

It's tough to tell with the camera clear across the floor from the benches, but is USC coached by George Bluth?
