Charles is such a good on ball defender, but then mouthguard would make a weak fake, Charles would overplay it, and mouthguard would go right past him.

Also, can we not get a five seconds call?
I know what you are saying that chuck overplayed a little because he was beign so aggressive, but even still, mouthguard finished with 10 points, and 4 of them came off of techinical free throws. So he had 6 points, and I am not sure they were all on chuck. So no, he didnt abuse chuck.

I hate that kid con cada fibre de mi ser and he abused Chuck. Stats don't tell the story really. Hellavadiver controlled clock and played our guards like a fiddle.

If by controlled clock you mean 6 turnovers to 4 assists then I agree. He wasnt the reason BYU lost, far from it.

You are crazy. Chuck played great defense on him and so did Winder. He made 1 shot the entire game and only had 4 assists. He also had 6 turnovers.

You think he controlled the game by making 1 shot and turning it over 6 times?

If you let the point guard in the key, you've lost the battle, no matter if he scores or not.

What if he doesn't score or have an assist? Then do you lose?

Zylstra was the one letting the PG in the key when we were playing zone.

In the second half, out of about 10 consecutive possessions, at least 6 or 7 of them, he held the ball till it was under 10 seconds, beat his man off the dribble, and scored. They weren't all assists. Sometimes they took two or three passes before hitting the open man. Once they missed a shot and got the offensive rebound and did it again.

How much of the 35 second shot clock on each second half possession did he have the ball in his hands? Yes, they went a huge stretch without scoring based on very good defense by Winder and Cusick and non-called fouls by Chuck but he had the ball in his hands for what 85-90% of the posession?

Wow so even with him playing that well and killing that much time off the clock we were able to hold St. Marys to only 15 second half shots and cut the lead form 23 down to 9. That is a miracle.

If not for the student section technical that lead is actually only 4.

No kidding! Once we went to man St. Mary's and especially Doubledribblya had a very difficult time. There was a stretch in the second half of about five to six minutes when the only points SMC scored were off of free throws. BYU just was so completely inept on offense that they couldn't really take advantage.

Chuck played fantastic D and rarely if ever got beat even though he was extremely agressive. I doubt he will be able to play that aggressively on the perimeter all that often though because the WCC tends to over officiate aggressive play even though they let them play for much of the second half.

Doubledribbleya sucks with managing on-ball pressure and that team will go nowhere in the NCAAS because of it.

Except when we trapped and he turned it over 6 times. Let him hold for 90% of the possession if it is not resulting in him scoring or assisting on a basket how is he hurting us? He also called timeouts on at least 2 possessions because he was trapped and we forced two jump balls which they kept. So he could have had 10 turnovers.

So 6 posessions meant he didn't control the tempo and therefore the game? He did exactly what his coach asked him to do (with the exception of 6 posessions).

Actually on 6 possessions (1 made shot, 4 assists and 1 legit trip to the foul line) he did what he was supposed to do. On 6 other possessions he did not and turned it over (add in the 2 jump balls forced against him and 2 timeouts and we are at 10) so the remaining 50 possessions in the game he held the ball for a really long time.

Awesome he is definitely the reason we lost.
