Yeah. Is this some other rejected CB dipshit serving out his sentence over here?

I was at the game. While it is nice to get a big victory, I'm not getting too high about it. Just as I haven't been too low recently.
      • It is much easier to win when you shoot +50% from the 3-point line. The averages were just catching up a bit for the Utes at home this weekend.
      • ASU is in dire straits. The coach kicked their best player off of the team and their second best player was out injured.
      • The good news is that USC seems to be worse off.

      With that said...
      • Our defense played with a lot of energy - a consistent factor where we have won or been competitive. It hasn't been consistent all season though, but it is becoming more so at home. It seems like these guys are starting to get it, although they still have to learn how to bring it on the road.
      • Losing Jiggy may be a blessing in disguise as guys were actually moving around without the ball instead of standing around watching Jiggy dribble, waiting for him to get into the key and either throw up a circus shot or kick out.
      • Storey made two steps forward after taking one step back on thursday.
      • We seem to be making an effort of playing inside out in going through Washburn in the middle, but if he kicks it out and resets, they aren't trying to get it back into him. So sometimes he holds onto it and works himself into a bad shot because he doesn't think he'll get another chance.
      • These guys have no idea how to play when ahead: 3 straight possessions with shot clock violations. It was amusing only because we were up by so much. Had it only been 10 points with 2 minutes left, it would've been heart attack inducing.

I've watched as many of the games as I possibly could this year, including every minute of that train wreck in the Bahamas. This team is definitely improving and progressing. Something that I can't say that I have seen since Majerus.

An interesting side note: Jordan Bechynski is the older brother to Dallin, who is coming to Utah next year. Can you imagine feeding these two as teenagers?

I can only imagine the excitement from the fans after we bring in another coach who can't get his top players to buy in to his system has such a strong grasp of discipline in his program.

Then again, his best backcourt player (and only player of note) missed another game against Utah due to injury. So maybe I'll hold back on campaigning to bring Herb to SLC.
