Crazy. I think Rhode Island, UMBC, Towson, and Mount St. Mary's have been tournament teams in recent history. Oh how the mighty have fallen.Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

I have only been slightly paying attention to how bad Utah is, but I assumed the "worst in D-1" stuff has been complete rivalry smack, and I couldn't imagine they were truly even in the bottom 1/4th in terms of D-1 schools. I looked at the massey ratings comparison page.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostGood catch, IPU. Here is a list of teams that are arguably as bad or worse than Utah right now:
Rhode Island
UC Davis
Towson
Chicago State
Northern Illinois
Bryant University
Texas A&M CC
Grambling State
Louisiana Monroe
Texas Southern
Arkansas-Pine Bluff
Mississippi Valley State
Farleigh Dickinson
Mount St. Mary's
Binghamton
Hartford
UMBC

Utah is #323 out of 344 teams. That is pretty damn impressive. The next worst major conference team is Boston College at #264.

I will leave it up to you, as you seem better suited to determine where Utah ranks amongst the worst D1 teams this year. Like you, I am just happy that Utah finally won its second game. That is the most important thing here.Originally posted by il Padrino Ute View PostI would say that it's arguable if 2 wins right now is the fewest of any team in the country. If there are teams with only 1 win, then it's not even up for debate that those teams would be worse than any team with 2 wins.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

I've actually been to Binghamton; not the school, just the town. Tony Kornheiser is an alumnus of the school.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostYeah, that's a regular murderer's row right there.

You don't like Kornheiser?
I podcast his radio show. I love it and I bet you would since we are all roughly of the same generation.Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

Oh yeah well byu is lucky we played them at the first of the year. If Utah plays them now Utah wins.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostAgree 100%. Last week it was fairly obvious that Utah was the worst team in D1. After beating ISU, I think it is only fair to say that Utah is arguably the worst team in D1. It is unfair to declare them outright the worst team in all of D1, though."Be a philosopher. A man can compromise to gain a point. Don't be small. More than one game is a streak.Originally posted by Eddie View PostWait...Utah won a third game? When did this happen? This is big news!
Or are you using the term "winning streak" loosely?
