I'm very disappointed. He couldn't match my very meager expectations of him.

Is it just me or did Carlino look a little like Jimmer tonight (not how he played,, necessarily), but the awkard hairdo that is about 10 days past due for a trim. White, no tats, looked like hed spent some serious time inthe gym.

Pleasantly surprised. Next year could be HUGE for this team.

I will say this in relation to any Jimmer comparisons, he's not going to be well-liked by the competition. The kid can talk some shit. I'm glad he's on my team though.

That is at least three people who have used the word "giddy" today. I guess that means he played well.

He and Franklin were jawing out there. But I think that's because he knows him. Franklin's dad coached his AAU team according to the Baylor board.

Makes sense since they seemed to jump right into it. I like a fiery competitive type of player but I hope it doesn't cost the team later on.

He seems to enjoy the f-word immensly, which in and of itself is not remarkable, even for a BYU player, but he also seems to have a short fuse. I'm probably overstating it though.

Carlino's 2 assists today don't tell near the story of how much impact he has on the offense, he is a MUCH better passer than Cusick and Winder and has much better PG instincts. He gets the ball to players quickly in places they like to get the ball and forces the defense to react which opened up shots for other players. Our offense is much more dynamic with him in the game.

Also the way he drives the line, he keeps his head looking at the hoop so he draws attention and then kicks, it is really nice to have a legit PG out there. When Cusick and Winder drive, which is very rare, they are usually already looking at the wing they are looking to pass to when they start the drive, no wing defenders are going to get sucked in by that.

He does have a short fuse. That trip he laid down when he picked up the foul looked suspect. It was a frustration foul...the crowd thought the ref was wrong (shocker) but I thought it was a good call. Clearly tried to trip the guy.

He does look like Jimmer, especially his movements.

I thought he did very well, but agree he needs to work on his ball handling, especially when bringing up the ball.
