Predict Matt Carlino's line in his Baylor debut

What are folks here expecting from Matt Carlino tomorrow? How do you think he will do? Not only is this his first BYU game, it is his first college game, period. Despite many rave reviews in practice, Hartsock has indicated that it might take away for Carlino to fit into the flow of the offense.

Rose already said Carlino won't start but that he will definitely play. Will he be second or third off the bench? How many minutes? points? Assists? Turnovers?

I have a feeling people may have built this debut up in their heads but come tomorrow, Carlino might see 4 or 5 minutes of actual game time and score 5 points.

5 points in 4-5 minutes would be pretty good.

they will give him the 3 and he will likely take it. he will also want to show that he can drive to the basket so maybe he gets a layup.

If so, then which guard sits most of the game? Winder or Cusick? I'm guessing Winder gets the start tomorrow.

I think 10 minutes 5 points 3 assists 3 turnovers. The turnovers aren't a poor reflection on him. Baylor is a good team and this is a tough game to have as your first. I think the adrenaline causes him to make more turnovers than usual.

I would be a little surprised if they give him the three based on the way they played defense against Northwestern. I can see them relying on their "length and athleticism" to rebound and really look to shut down the three point shot.

I think he gets 10-15 minutes barring foul trouble by Winder.
I think his line will look like this:

                      7 points
                      3 assists
                      1 steal
                      2 rebounds
                      1-3 3 point
                      2-5 from the field
                      2-2 free throws

                      3 turnovers

He is a RS freshman playing in his first game with this team against very good competition. I expect he won't be spectacular.

i think we see winder start and get about 15-20 minutes with cusick and carlino splitting the rest of the time.

I also wouldn't be surprised to see Carlino perhaps spend some time at the 2 tomorrow.

I was not expecting much from him, but with Rogers out we need someone to shoot more. So I guess I'm hoping Carlino will have more of an impact than I was expecting him to have.
