      He was at Texas Tech last season. Don't think he played much, if at all. I dont think he is there this year.

          Stop it already. I know we pine for days of relevancy, but let's be real here. There is no way Majerus could still be coaching at Utah today, and when he left, it was the absolute right time. What disgusts me is that no one, not Maji or Hill, could be honest with the fanbase about it.

          Maji walked away from the USC job because something was coming down the pike that forced USC to make a stand. Instead of dragging it out, Rick stepped aside. My absolute best guess is that an ADA lawsuit was coming down the pike with the Allred situation. I have no evidence that this was the case.

          The USC issue was damaging and made Majerus toxic. Unhireable. No viable program gave Rick a serious look. And then St. Louis popped up, in which the university president went over the head of his AD, both in firing the previous coach and picking Majerus as a replacement. Of course, the AD resigned as part of the deal, which makes perfect sense, since that was the only way in which Maji would be hired ANYWHERE, because the AD that hires Majerus today is making his/her last hire for that school.

              As you admit, this is all speculation; your fantasy. Take it from the lawyers. There was no ADA suit here. Notice one was never filed.

                Boylen's handling of Carlon Brown is certainly another data point proving his complete failure as a coach. The guy had great talent and a real coach would have gotten more out of him.

                            Now that's a great post. The first and last sentences ought to be someone's signature. Still, I have to express admiration for SU's emphatic (if at times nutty) declarations and his consistently putting it all out there, without so much as a cup to protect his nuts when the inevitable groin kicks come. I didn't care about the SW Baptist loss, because I look at the big picture. Not only are his teams defense oriented and hard nosed, he's recruiting maybe better than Majerus ever did. (Majerus didn't ever have big recruiting years in terms of magazine ratings; he had a genius for spotting diamonds in the rough and grinding them and polishing them to a luster.) Starting two years from now when the current freshmen are Juniors or sophomores (if redshirted) and the 09 class are sophomores, it's going to start all coming together and getting really ugly for the rest of the conference.
