KCSG (Comcast Ch. 116, DirecTV Ch. 44, Dish Network Ch. 37), and ESPN3.

I predict USU wins by 5 because of home court advantage at The Spectrumm.

The game can be seen on DirecTV via ESPN Full Court (if you prefer not to use your computer). I signed up a moment ago, with the intention of cancelling after the game. The operator said the cost would be about $5, since there's a grace period that runs until December 9. Game on!

Sadly, we have a couple of PS3's, but no xBox.

I'd like to see Hartsock/Davies/Collinsworth to take control of the game down low. If BYU plays a strong defensive game, I give them a chance. They need this game to be in the low 50 range. I want to see Rogers hit a few from the outside early on to open up Davies. Abouo needs to play within the game. He's not going to be the go to scorer that he thinks he has to be. If he gets hot, that's great, but most likely we just need around 8 smart points from him.

If BYU is really good enough to beat USU in Logan the only probable losses this year are:

                  Baylor
                  Wisconsin
                  at Gonzaga

If BYU is really this good the only toss-up games are

                  Oregon
                  Gonzaga at home
                  at St Mary's

That puts this team at 27-3 or at wort 24-6 and a top 25 rank with an 6 seed or better.

You guys really think that this team is THAT good? I hope so, but I don't think so.
BYU might struggle with a team that can shoot or a team that can match its size or a team with exceptional quickness.

Utah State is none of those teams this year. If Utah State can find a freshman or sophomore who is hot from the outside tonight, they might have a chance, but that will be tough to do in the first game of the season.

Will someone post an additional link (justin.tv or another) to this game some time later tonight? I will be mobile but still want to catch it (I've had trouble on my Bionic with ESPN3 for some reason)

It seems like when I've tried ESPN3 on my PC before, I get a message to talk to my cable provider about getting access. Anyone else get this problem?
At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

I wouldn't bet against USU shooting well in their own gym with BYU's horrible perimeter defense.

I'm hoping for a win. Saying I "expect" a win might be strong. But I certainly don't expect BYU to lose either.

I think that the fact that USU has as much inexperience as BYU is in BYU's favor.

I think that the fact that BYU had their European trip and got in some extra practice works in their favor as well - particularly this early in the season.

I like BYU's big's versus USU's. Which is a nice change compared to the recent past. I have concerns if USU pressure's BYU's PG - as I don't know that BYU will handle the pressure well and I don't know that they have enough other ball handlers to spread it around and make USU pay.

My greatest concern is that BYU's inexperienced guards have difficulty getting the ball into the post and/or become impatient and jack up outside shots. I don't mind some in the course of the game, or if one of the good shooters is open. But I don't think launching 3's is a good way to get warm and into the flow of things.

Honestly, I'm not sure what to expect. I think it will be a close game. But I won't be shocked if either team wins by more than 10.
