Who lasts longer in the NBA: Jimmer or Kemba?

I have to admit that I haven't read everything you've ever posted. But from what I have read - you have a very difficult time saying anything good about BYU or BYU players. Typically people with that kind of a blindspot in their reasoning don't rely on logic. They think they do, but they don't.

Odds are probably not, but I think the chance is greater that Jimmer could have a similar career trajectory moreso than Kemba. Jimmer is 6'2" strong, not explosively athletic, very savvy in beating his man. This sounds a lot like Andre to be honest. Going into the league Andre was a more proven playmaker/passer, rebounder, and defender and Jimmer is a much more proven scorer and not a slouch at being a playmaker/passer.

Kemba is small, not a great shooter, and inefficient scorer. Sure he won a lot of games, but I think he is overrated at where he is projected.

I will go with Jimmer. That long range shooting is always in demand. He is going to have to learn how to at least passably guard other 2s, however.

Go over on UF.N and see the compliments I have paid to Jimmer over the season. No doubt he has been special for BYU and is a legitimate lottery pick. I don't Wrubbel all over myself about him though, which BYU fans have some tendency to do.

You are the one with a blind spot by assuming I'm not willing to admit players from a rival school have tremendous talent.

The Andre question was fair. I think Kemba is a 4-6 pick, Jimmer is a 10-14 pick. Andre was #8. I don't think either Jimmer or Kemba will have the career he has to date. Overall this is a shallow draft.

It's kind of a rigged question, when you say "who else could have gone on that run", because, 95 times out of 100, UConn doesn't go on that run. I'm not trying to take anything away from Kemba or UConn. They earned the title by making a fantastic run, but it was one of those magical things. If you put Jimmer on the team, do they go on the run? Probably not. But then again, if you can play God, turn back time and ask if Kemba can make that run, the answer is still probably not. If you had the most sophisticated simulation in the world, and ran UConn through that stretch 1000 times with Jimmer, and 1000 times with Kemba, neither one of them wins it most of the time. Jimmer could do it, but probably wouldn't. Kemba could do it (and did do it), but usually wouldn't.

I am obviously biased, but over the course of the season, I think Jimmer was a better player than Kemba.

Calhoun does a better job of getting guys into the NBA and the Big East has a lot more similarities to the NBA than the Mountain West does.

I think Jimmer is a great player but he would not have the stats this past year if he played for a Big East team.

Stat comparisons are almost useless. Kemba has a national title AND a Big East tourney title winning five games over five days.

Jimmer got swept by New Mexico and didn't win the MWC tourney.
