But as much fun as Jimmer has been to watch, I think his chances of succeeding in the NBA are worse than Durrant's.
The more NBA games I watch the more I think the exact opposite. I think he will have a very successful career (depending on what you use to define success).

Watching a guy like Ray Felton I think Jimmer can be as good as Felton or even George Hill. Hill came from IUPUI where he was thought of as nothing more than a volume scorer. They are both 6'2, Hill is a bit longer but Fredette is stronger with the bigger body. I can see Jimmer succeeding like George Hill has.

Jameer Nelson is another guy that nobody thought would be as good in the NBA as he was in college, undersized, a step slow. Look what he has done.

    He will get his chance.

It depends on the team, I guess. He could succeed in a Steve Blake like role, where he's a PG but isn't the guy controlling the ball all the time. But on most teams, I think he would have a tough time fitting in.

I worry that Jimmer often takes a while to get into the flow of the game, and shoots through adversity. In the NBA, I doubt he gets the opportunity to play like that. He'll come off the bench and be expected to be instant offense. I think he'll do well enough to stay around the league awhile (like, longer than TH), but anything beyond that will be a pleasant surprise for me. I hope I'm wrong.

To be fair to TH he could have stayed in the league and had plenty of opportunities to come back had he wanted to.

I am leaning kind of with Junkie now. I think Jimmer could have a decent go in the league. But he could be selling Isuzu's in 5 years too.

Yeah that wasn't supposed to be a knock on Travis. I would put the over/under on Jimmer's NBA career at 5 years. I think he should exceed that if given a good shot and if he's able to find a niche. I fear that he'll be picked too early like Rafa was, expectations will be too high, and he'll be shipped somewhere.

Jimmer is going to prove all of you doubters wrong once again.

While this is all true, the big difference is that he will be getting open looks. We didn't see it this year, but Jimmer is as much a shooter as he is a scorer, IMO. His role at BYU was 100% scorer and as such he did have to shoot through adversity a lot of nights. Allow him to spot up and just shoot, I think we might be surprised how accurate he is even without getting a ton of shots.

I look around at some of these journeyman NBA guys that have played for years in the league.....if Jimmer can score 6-8 points a game, dude will have a well paying job for a long long time. Heck, if he can score 5 points a game he will have a job. That isn't too tough for a guy that can consistently knock down 30 footers.
