  • We got beat by a good team. I knew we would have to play man because they had 3 guys who could shoot from 3. I hoped we could double off Tyus and Rose hoped so too. We couldn't. Great season. I love these guys.

    • I just wish we had rebounded the miss with 14 seconds left in regulation.

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

Lots of what ifs. Abouos missed layup, KCs missed free throw, letting the 5'8 walker get a crucial board.

KC also missed the first shot of the game.

Missing that bunny was a bit of bad omen eh?

You are one of my Cougar buddies, BITF. I heart all my miserable vomitous masses here.

The box score blows me away. We take 7 more shots, are +3 on the offensive boards, have only 12 turnovers, but shoot a miserable 34% and yet we are still in it. We controlled the hustle plays thats what kept us in it.

I guess I wasn't the only one who thought that. KC and Abuo had a lot of opportunities to drive early on, just didn't for some reason.

I really didn't need to know that. I think I need to curl up in a fetal position now. I'm already going through major jimmer withdrawals.

To be honest we sucked them into playing our game. We got their guards to play a game of horse with us and get up and down the court. Their own guards trying to keep pace took their bigs out of the game.

We rebounded really well. This game is just a tough one to swallow because we should have won. Won more bucket of all those misses and we win it.

                        • I'm not going to lie. I am beyond relieved that BYU lost tonight. With Davies, that was a Final Four team at worst. Add CCollinsworth, and quite possibly a national title winner. This Ute fan won't mock BYU fans in the future for their hindsight claims of what could have been. As far as I'm concerned, they're totally legitimate.

The Jimmer will live on in the memories of college hoop fans, and future generations will look at Fredette's metamorphosis from superstar basketball player into pop icon as a seminal moment in the influence social media has on athletes, and how it shapes our views of them.

Now that the book has been closed on his career, I don't think there's any doubt Fredette is the greatest player to lace 'em up at BYU. The idea that Danny Ainge could be considered better because he reached one more round of the tournament is absurd. Fredette's legacy is much, much greater than one game. And for this Ute fan, my relief at seeing him go was already significantly tempered by the fact that we go forth playing only once per year, instead of twice. Good riddance nonetheless. And I mean that with the utmost amount of respect.

I'm going to miss two games a year.
