Guess what? A bigger kid just moved in on the block.
Spread the word.
"Sure, I fought. I had to fight all my life just to survive. They were all against me. Tried every dirty trick to cut me down, but I beat the bastards and left them in the ditch."
First, congrats to BYU for having the better shooting night. The rim and refs favored you and enjoy the Sweet 16.
Second, give credit(& respect) where its due.
Gonzaga has been to the Sweet 16 5 times in last 11 years. BYU hasn't reached/accomplished this level of play since 1981.
Everyone has a birthday sometime, right Cougars?
Also, Zags have won 16 NCAA Tourney games since 2000, BYU has won 12 game in the history of their entire program.
Only Mich St, Kansas, UConn, Texas have advanced to more Sweet 16's in the last decade than the Zags.
Respect us, son.
Welcome to the big stage and WCC.
You had the better night and surreal shooting effort, but realize we return every single player on this year's team while you lose your two All-stars and leading scorers.
Get ready to roll next season in the WCC.
We couldn't have played worse or shot worse than we did tonight, but you won't have Jimmer or Jackson to hide behind next season.
BYU made 14 3's this game, while GU only made 2. You made 50% of your 3's, and we made less than 20%. Tough luck for us considering we average better 3pt % on the season(38%) than BYU and you can't tell me you're the best defense we've seeon. In addition, we dominated the boards and the points in the paint. This tells me we win 7/10 times on a neutral floor if we shoot our averages.
Again, welcome to the WCC. We'll welcome you in style next season when we have everyone back, including a Top-15 recruiting class, and you dont have Jimmer/Jackson combo to cover up your deficiencies as a team.
Zags have made the last 13 NCAA Tournaments in a row...has BYU? Also, we've won the last 11 straight WCC Championships...are things going to change? Doubt it. You are no better than St Mary's on a hot shooting night. Just look at your game and realize you made the 2nd most 3's you have all season and received all the calls at the right time.
You won't be as lucky next season and beyond...
Good luck next round, because unless you shoot 50+% from 3pt, you're going down...
Honestly, what else do you bring to the table (and don't bring up the fact the Zags gave up and had our 3rd stringers in at the 3mins mark)
I'm amazed that random opposing fans keep finding this site.
There is some truth to the fact that BYU was supposed to win this. Gonzaga is a little bit down and this is BYU's best season with its best player ever.
Also some truth to the fact that BYU's record against the WCC is great and I'm sure will be pretty good next season as well.
Also Gonzaga is not returning every single player like he claims. Gray graduates. Harris may go pro. And rumors have Sacre maybe leaving to play pro in Europe.
Glad to know the refs also were on our side and were responsible for that beat down.
Also, tell/show me where I lied, exaggerated, or made up facts.
Honestly, I just said respect Gonzaga's accomplishments and history. BYU can't hold a candle to our National Brand and what we've done in the NCAA Tournament since 1999. We've made the NCAA's the last 13 seasons in a row and have advanced, done more damage, and performed at a much, much higher level than BYU could ever imagine. 5 Sweet 16's and 16 wins during that time frame.
What have you done?
Enjoy this S16. Its rare and it doesn't happen year in, year out.
Listen, you barely beat St Mary's in final seconds and shot the 2nd best you have all season. Any laymen bball fan could see the Zags were off their game, yet taller, faster, stronger, and we actually return players in the next few years.
We'll see about the WCC success, only time will tell, but mark my words -- we will have our day against your team and program. Very soon.
BYU can NO LONGER hide behind Jimmer and his shots, theatrics, and antics after this season.
We'll see how you adjust w/o Jackson Emery and Jimmer Fredette who were both 4 year starters in the backcourt.

Ummmmm, no they weren't. Jimmer rode the pine behind the immortal Ben Murdock.

Well there's a start.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Gray does, indeed, graduate. He's had a terrific career, yet 4th best player down the stretch. He's not make-or-break like Fredette.
Sacre is firmly committed to returning. Harris is the one who may go pro/europe.
Also, our recruiting class next season makes yours look like puppy chow or any other Mountain West Conference team for that matter.
We have FOUR players w/ a 90+ rating in ESPN and ranked Top-15 by various recruiting servies. BYU has ONE player at 92, and next one is not even close...
The future is bright for both our teams and our conference, but just saying we've spent more time in the Top-25 in the last 12 years than any team in your conference(please look this up or ask me to) and have accomplished so much more in the tournament its not even close...just stating facts.
You won this year, deservedly so, but we shot horrible(39%) while you shot the best you have all season, or 2nd best...either way, enjoy the Sweet 16, its fun. We know. You don't. Carry on...
Hey dipshit, you got beat by 25 points. That's not being "off your game," you're Wyoming, you're TCU and we prison-raped you accordingly.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”
Any laymen bball fan could see the Zags were off their game, yet taller, faster, stronger, and we actually return players in the next few years.
This is classic. How idiotic.
It's basketball, not a decathlon or a beauty contest. What the hell does the fact that your guys were taller, faster, stronger have to do with anything? That's the type of argument somebody who knows nothing about sports would make.
You guys lost to Santa Clara and San Francisco (and of course St. Mary's at HOME) and then you say BYU's not that great because we only barely beat St. Mary's on a neutral court. Nice argument there.
