I thought we were done with all these posts a few weeks back, but I guess not.

They are different players. Very different. Jimmer is a fantastic scorer with unlimited range, great stamina (to get such elevation on the jumper late in the game), good handles, and relentless in pressuring the defense.

Andre could be the best defender on the floor, the best distributor, post up whomever was guarding him, get boards, get steals (against their best player), and get to the rack - all in the same game.

'Dre doesn't have the game to garner a lot of press clippings or t-shirts. He still doesn't today; he'll retire among the top ten assist leaders in the history of the NBA, but will never play in an All Star game. To discount the argument, out of hand, that he was a more complete player (the wins against NBA-laden #1 seeds matters) is as unserious as the Utah fans who discount the historical nature of Jimmer's season.

Ute fans are arguing that a guy who averaged 13.3 points, shot 67% from the foul line, and 29% from three is better than one of the most prolific scorers in NCAA history. These stats prove just how asinine that argument is. Andre Miller is not even on the same level as Juan Dixon, Darren Collison, and Jameer Nelson. He is no slouch but he is nowhere near Jimmer.
