But what makes his trolling offensive is that the act of trolling is such an intellectually dishonest activity that it's incompatible with anyone who thinks, feels, or proclaims to be an intellectual. It's pretty easy to provoke me but I don't actively write things I know are nonsense.

Your statement that Brazil is "the most Catholic country in the world" was pretty intellectual, I have to admit.

Any self-proclaimed intellectual is anything but. The best part of his sad opera are the folks that think because they've met the man that it excuses his behavior. I enjoy posting online, I've met several people that I chat with, and include some as friends but I have the stones enough to call out those friends when they do nothing but troll. It's tired and boring. Just my thin-skinned opinion.

My thoughts exactly. I'm embarrassed for all the SU apologists right now. Absolutely embarassed. Oh man, brilliant response, SU and we would expect nothing less. Feign humor while the hate metasisizes just under the surface. I want to once again compliment you on your superior basketball intellect. It is marvelous to behold. Just a pity that the subtelty in your posts go right over my head.

This was my favorite aspect of this(these) latest SU airball(s)--his propping up of his basketball intellect. Something along the lines of "I may not know football very well, but I really know my basketball...". Followed shortly thereafter with a Wofford upset prediction. Oh wait, that was a joke. Then there was the "all that matters is last night", which clearly demonstrates how few tourneys he's actually followed (how many times have we seen a team win a close first round only to blow out the next two or three opponents?). Or you have the "they have a better coach" comment--looks like he was joking about that one too.

I'm not sure anyone has been more completely wrong about a subject so consistently this year. It's uncanny, really. And this is his strong sport.

You could define that in various ways, be they:

1) Most catholics as a % of pop
2) Highest critical mass of catholics
3) Highest activity/belief/orthodoxy amongst catholics. (among others, i'm sure)

I chose #2, of which there is not a shred of doubt is correct. Brazil has more than 10% of the world's catholics in a country shy of 200mm vs almost 7bn global inhabitants.

Normally, when people are wrong, they admit their error or just don't say anything. It's atypical to try to find an error in something else someone said and particularly embarassing when they can't get that right (especially in your case, as a quasi brasileiro).

SU, I was happy for Utah's run to the championship game. That was great and obviously better than anything BYU has done so far. I think that's almost too obvious to need to even state.

I'm happy for all my friends and family who are BYU fans. It's fun to have a team make a run in March.

On topic, this thread has been great for many laughs; reactions, overreactions, trolls, counter trolls, and the ballet. These are the good ol' days.

I doubt it. Most BYU fans realize that this is all gravy now. If it ends it ends.

If BYU doesn't make the championship game, some ute fan will think they are being clever by making an Andre Miller reference, but in reality, I already knew that would be a risk when I decided to run that meme all season. I've received plenty of mileage off that one joke to offset the counter. And by predicting the counter here, it removes the potency.

I'm excited to head to the Big Easy and enjoy the show. Que sera sera!
