  • I'm glad half-stock waited until the locker room to bawl, unlike that crybaby girl from Moorehead State*

http://www.spokesman.com/stories/201...h-zags/?photos I love photo #19, though I was bothered by wife constantly calling him "cute". She has moved on from Jackson, I think his receding hairline and imminent male-pattern baldness is too much for her.

    * I actually felt bad about CBS showing the little girl losing it at the end of the game. It seemed the kept the camera on her way too long, considering she was probably only 12-13 and obviously upset.

    • What is it with gonzoga and crying? I don't think Adam Morrisson will ever live down his tear-fest. Now stockton's kid was crying, too? Both of those guys should go play for the Heat.

        LOL!!!!
Sacre apparently does not recognize when he has been owned by another team. I'm not sure what would have convinced him that he played a good team. Maybe if they lost by 50.

Another article where Sacre can't seem to keep his mouth shut and is just asking to get worked down low by Davies next year (should Sacre forgo his certain top 5 draft position):

This would make sense to Robert Sacre, the Gonzaga center who proclaimed BYU was most certainly not the best team he and his teammates played against this season.

"No. No. No," Sacre said when asked if the Cougars were the best opponent. "And that's the harsh part, because we could've played a lot better than we did. BYU wasn't the best team we played this year. I feel like we played a lot tougher competition. I think that's the frustrating part. ... It's a sick feeling. Can't do much about it."
There is probably a reason why you can't do much about it Senor Sacred.

BYU is Jimmer: deceptively great. When they play their game well, it's like some of the Duke teams of years past. You don't really think they are that good but they just keep hitting shots, making plays.

Yeah get that shit out as he nearly rips his head off and the ref's are fine with it. All ball, sure.

                • Next morning and it hasn't worn off yet. Wow what a great feeling.

Creekster voiced my sentiment in his pregame speech. I've thought that time and again all through the season. "Jimmer's doing too much, there's no way he can possibly keep it up. He can't keep doing it. Oh my he did it again. That has to be the end. There's no way can keep it. There he goes doing it again. Over and over. It's to the point where I fully expect heroics. And not just pretty good game heroics, but epic historical game heroics each and every time its needed.

                  • I had never seen Jimmer play until yesterday. In the first half, when he coolly drilled that one shot from 5 feet beyond the 3-point line, I said "color me a believer." Amazing skills, absolutely fun to watch.

So I will now take a deep breath and say: Go Jimmer! Go Cougars!

                    You saw it here first.

On the UCLA cut? That was sick and has been working well. Once we got good spacing with 5 guys behind the arc, the offense started to flow. I loved seeing Noah and Jax comfortable with where and when their shots were coming. It is tough to beat a team that has so many outside threats but can still rebound and defend.

That's cool, but how is that possible? Did you abandon Utah basketball 4 years ago? How have you missed all the BYU/Utah games of the last few years?

What a bitch. He's just pissed because we handled his team while guarding him with a 6-6 freshman and a 6-8 three point shooter.

LOL! That was the first time you had seen Jimmer, yet you feel qualified to join the Jimmer vs. Andre debate? Come on LA Ute.. You are worse than Dickie V!

Not to take anything away from Rice's ability to tweak the offense with no Davies, but I think we're overstating that angle a little. We ran that back cut for Jimmer at least every few games all through the season.

The actual sets of the offense hasn't changed much. Harstock or Anderson are still posting on the block the same times Davies would. Davies wasn't always on the block, anyway, he was out setting the high ball screen or hanging around for the FT jumper quite a bit.
