This reminds me of when I took one of my boys to Washington, D.C. with me on a business trip when he was seven years old. We visited one of the art museums on the mall and I was excitedly explaining the history and significance of one of the pieces and my son looked at me and said "Dad, let's go back to the hotel and order pizza again."
SU is weaving a tapestry for the ages today and it is going right over your head. Such a pity.
So enlighten me.

lol your comment reminds me of once when I took my two adolescent daughters and a couple of cousins to the Holocaust museum in Washington DC. I was reading something very powerful and touching and getting choked up, tears welling up in my eyes. I think it was a first hand account of the Warsaw ghetto massacre. I turned around and right there in the museum they were dancing, jerking their arms around, doing some kind of hip hop dance. I can only lol sort of in retrospect. I'm still aghast. I totally lost it at them, which probably didn't help.
When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him.
I hope the Trojans win that play-in game. The HOYAS will kill you. Kill you.
Just like they killed the Ohio Bobcats (!) last year. Though the success of USC in the play-in is very much in doubt, due in large part to the anti-Dayton sentiment perpetuated by CUF's most prominent USC fan (alum?).
I'm confused. Viking, are you arguing that we are as good or better without Davies or are you arguing that Hartsock is more important to this team than Davies is. If the first, c'mon dude ... you know that we aren't a better team because we lost a starter late in the season. If the second, I totally agree. In fact, even if you are saying Noah is a better player than Davies, I'd agree. Man D in the low block, Noah is better. Perimeter D, Noah is better. Rebounding, Davies is more gifted, Noah has better fundies, push. Post offense, Davies is better. Perimeter offense, Noah is better. What we need from our forwards ... Noah is better. One of the reasons CC started this year over BD is that CC had the ability to guard on the perimeter and the ability to shoot from range. Davies inability to knock down consistently from range is a major problem in our system. Truthfully, CC and Hartsock are both face-up post players and that's what Rose wants. BD is talented but not ideal. Therefore, Noah is better.
Back to the first question though, is the team better without Davies? Of course not. In that case, the question isn't whether Noah is better than Davies, the question is whether Davies is better than the next option. Since the next option appears to be a true freshman who plays point for us or a redshirt junior who plays deep bench for us or a redshirt senior that was surprised to get a scholarship from us ... we are a worse team

I've given my opinion on the subject, I disagree almost completely with this opinion on Davies vs Hartsock and CC, and that's all been hashed and rehashed, but I wanted to clear up this bolded area.
Davies didn't start in three games early in the season. One of those, Anderson started. The other two, CC. I don't remember the context of them all, but there was a period towards the beginning of the season where Davies got benched. It was my opinion that that benching was not due to anyone being better than Davies but it was an attempt to get Davies' attention and force him to practice and play harder and smarter. Rose made some radio interview comments to this effect. I think it's a huge stretch to say the Davies benching early in the season was due to matchups or something strategic, it was completely psychological. Rose knew nobody besides Davies was going to be the starting center of this team come stretch time.
