  • Latest loss to BYU has 1-2 Rebel fans turning on Kruger (thread ruined by creekster)

    http://unlv.rivals.com/showmsg.asp?f...id=915&style=2

The idea that Kruger is to UNLV bball what Sanford was to UNLV football is pretty out there, imo. UNLV was horrible during Sanford's entire tenure, whereas Kruger has elevated the bball program somewhat, although admittedly not to its former heights.

Still, it seems strange to be arguing for Kruger's ouster. But what do I know.

Like Utah fans they are delusional and have unrealistic expectations of what the program used to be.

I'm sure that Utah would be happy to take him.

I'm a big Kurger fan. They don't have the players right now to be great and are getting a lot of their players as transfers. SDSU just has better talent. I don't know if Kruger is a good recruiter. Certainly recruiting is more difficult when you are not paying guys.

No kidding. That would be a huge upgrade for Utah. If UNLV were dumb enough to force Kruger out, he'd be a no-brainer hire, if he'd go to Utah.

there were around 15 posts in that thread and maybe 7 or 8 of them were actually for firing Kruger. I think of those 7 or 8, most were from 1 or 2 people.

We should re-name this thread "1 or 2 people turning on Kruger multiple times in same thread"

Those 1 or 2 people were "Rebel fans." The title is still accurate.

Not really, unless you can prove that they were once Kruger fans.

As it stands, it is entirely possible that these fans are simply continuing their disenchantment with Kruger, as opposed to turning on him.

Meh. They can still turn if they were only half-fans of his. Its just a smaller turn.

I am also going to reduce the 7-8 posts to 6-7 posts. The final post in that thread is a critique of UNLV's practice facility, not of Lon Kruger.

Please re-title this thread to "Partial fans of Kruger may or may not be disenchanted with coach and practice facility"

I am glad you are on the job today. We certainly wouldn't want anyone exaggerating at ALL on a sports message board, would we? Your body of work here clearly shows how much you dislike any exaggeration or rounding of the corners, as it were.
                          PLesa excuse the tpyos.
