That would be wonderful but I think the fat lady's all warmed up and ready to sing no matter what happens.Originally posted by CardiacCoug View PostAny chance a win in Provo this weekend would save Boylen's job?
Probably even that wouldn't make a difference.“There is a great deal of difference in believing something still, and believing it again.”

2 things:Originally posted by SeattleUte View PostWhy do you utefans types hold onto this myth that Boylen was a step up from Giacoletti? Boylen is a lot worse than Giacoletti. He couldn't have won 29 games and made it to the Sweet 16 with Michael Jordan. He's the worst coach in Utah history. Also, if you think this team hasn't given up on him you've got your head in the sand.
1. Being a waterboy for a college basketball team doesn't qualify your opinion as more correct than mine. It's your opinion that Boylen is a worse coach than Giacoletti. It's my opinion that Giacoletti was worse than Boylen.

This is a really interesting analysis of Utah's poor hoops attendance (apart from the poor performance of the teams):

Good stuff. I liked the fantasy about Ute fans screaming "You Got Clyburned!" at the Marriott Center.Originally posted by LA Ute View PostThis is a really interesting analysis of Utah's poor hoops attendance (apart from the poor performance of the teams):

This isn't smack but if a football PAC-12 championship occurs as infrequently as it is likely to occur does that mean you're really a football school?Originally posted by Portland Ute View PostI hope we are a football school for as long as I am alive.

Bold, sweeping predictions of long-term failure are so much fun. Where to begin with this one....?Originally posted by Coach McGuirk View PostOnce every 10 to 15 years.“There is a great deal of difference in believing something still, and believing it again.”

ASU and UofA have been in the league for some 30+ years with a total of 4 PAC10 football championships combined. You should try and reset your expectations. That's not long term failure, that is pretty much average.Originally posted by LA Ute View PostBold, sweeping predictions of long-term failure are so much fun. Where to begin with this one....?

Are we using this as the BYU-Utah game thread?
I told y'all we're better off investing in Abouo rather than Rogers. If we can get him going, that's going to be huge. Not that I'm down on Rogers, I just think Abouo has more upside this season.
Ute cheerleaders screaming at FT shooters?? I don't think I've ever seen that one.
I didn't see a single Ute fan at this game. I was suprised last year at the low Ute turnout. Every year for the prior 20, Utes would show up with at least a few thousand, sometimes as much as 5-6K. Last year there were only small pockets. This year, I really didn't see a single Ute fan whatsoever.

We had a handful up by us. They were silent all game until Utah tied it. By far the worst showing I have ever seen at the MC. Then when Jimmer goes on a 12-0 run all alone they shut up never to be heard from again.Originally posted by jay santos View PostAre we using this as the BYU-Utah game thread?
