Isn't he the guy who has suffered a bunch of chronic injuries?

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

yeah, it looks like he's had some injury problems. But he did play most of his freshman, soph and junior years. He only played in two games last year which made him eligible for the medical redshirt.

After a little searching and looking at his twitter page I've come up with this little timeline:

Around April 12th he announced his transfer from UH. The stories that announced the transfer also state that he will graduate in May, making him eligible to play immediately at the new school.

About a week later on his twitter page he started following cougar nation@rivals' twitter account (the BYU version, not UH), as well as Elijah Bryant.

UH congratulates him on his graduation May 11th.

May 14th's Vanquish the Foe article says he will visit BYU today (May 16th) and that his dad played with Dave Rose at UH.

Despite the injury issues he's had, this would be pretty exciting. We do have other guards his size, but I'm guessing he would bring a different type of skillset that would allow us to play more effective combinations against different lineups, as well as give us additional depth at guard, where we were going to be a bit lacking. I haven't seen any info yet about what other teams he may be considering. Obviously hoping he's a lockdown defender. That would be pretty nice.

His dad was an active duty Army Officer - well I think he was Transportation Corps or Adjutant General so almost a real life Army Officer, REMFS! I guess he didn't make the Lakers so he took a commission and went marching along. He was a Military History professor my last two years at West Point. I never had him as I was lucky enough to have H.R. McMaster and the Department Head, COL Jim Doughty, but everyone I knew who was in one of his sections thought he was a great teacher and just a fabulous dude. He would practice with the Army hoops team and he was clearly the best player on the court.

Be interesting to see what BYU does with this final scholarship. My preference would be to have Stephen Beo be talked into walking on for one year and then pick up both LJ Rose and Konner Frey, if both really want to be at BYU. While my guess is Rose is a better player than Frey that is only if Rose will be healthy and obviously that is a huge "?" I do hope we pick up one or the other as I am nervous about BYU's backcourt depth being Chatman, Hartsock and Beo.

I'd take Rose over Frey any day. It's a no brainer imho. UVU did not give him a scholarship. I'd appreciate him as a walk-on. Someone on CB said he had not graduated and would not his appeal with the NCAA approved if he were to play next year.

Interesting article on the latest Mormon giant praying mantis Matt Van Komen. Last year he was a 7'4 freshman who got backup minutes for PG varsity team. http://www.vanquishthefoe.com/byu-ba...-shawn-bradley Fascinating fact from the article: 17% of 7 footers in the world will play in the NBA.

I coached against him in an AAU game when he was like 6'9 in 7th grade. I told him every minute he spends shooting a basketball, he's hurting his career because he could be spending that time eating or lifting.

Will be interesting to watch this kid's career unfold.

Other fun fact: Bradley made around $69 million during his 12 years in the NBA.

No, that's called just keeping the BYU fan chronic low self esteem syndrome going.

Cynicism. Barring injury, Dastrup will be a formidable back up to Mika.
