Speaking of recruits. Check out Jake Toolson numbers. 27 and 12 while shooting 52% from the floor. He improved every year.

Yeah I was surprised by his scoring average since I had only seen him in those two games and he was far and away Richland's best player in those two games.. Richland had a 6-7"-8" kid that got most of the touches and was the leading scorer, but from what I can tell for the most part they spread the scoring around really well. I think they had four or so kids averaging double figures, and they played great team ball. Watching Richland vs. Beamer/Garfield was hysterical because the style of play was exactly as stereotypical as you'd expect. Richland moving the ball, really disciplined in the halfcourt, running these motion sets and using this great variation on a UCLA cut out of the high post, and then Garfield/Beamer just a bunch of long athletes trying to get into passing lanes and run in transition and looking lost in the halfcourt while setting maybe one lazy screen and otherwise going one-on-one and trying to make spin moves into the lane. Garfield was a bit better than Beamer at it and pulled it out in the championship; they've got Brandon Roy pulling strings behind the scenes and half their team was transfers. Roy's apparently got an apartment in the Garfield boundaries where he's putting kids up.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View Post12 ppg this year as a soph. At any rate, I was sitting with the Beamer crowd on Friday and they gasped in horror every time the kid caught the ball open with some space. I swear he only missed about one 3pter on the night, and he shot a bunch of free throws because Beamer kids were getting frustrated and taking shots at him. I don't know if any of his ft's even caught the rim. Kid can stroke it. I talked to St. Martin's head coach about some of the players after the game, and he said Beo was easily the best player on the floor and a D1 kid. Sure enough a few days after the tourney UW and BSU offer. I saw Romar there on Saturday watching and he was probably there on Friday as well.So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Those are incredibly impressive numbers for a player in the highest level of play. For a player his size, you would think those numbers would be from a small school (like Utah 1A). Excited to have him.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostYes. They are Division 1. Along with Dastrups school.

Has to be a good sign that he had those big games against some of the best teams in the state too.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostYeah I was surprised by his scoring average since I had only seen him in those two games and he was far and away Richland's best player in those two games.. I thought he was better than Emery and Mika and I think he's better than Jackson. He's clever with the ball but can also beat people with athleticism or shooting. He seems about 6'3" and is very lean. Dribbles higher than I like but isn't made to pay for it often because of his quickness and vision. Long strider and long arms.

Yep-that was Carlino's team. You could say they're AZ's Lone Peak, since Matt lived nowhere near that school.Originally posted by LiveCoug View PostI assume Highland High School is in the highest division in Arizona hoops?"I'm anti, can't no government handle a commando / Your man don't want it, Trump's a bitch! From that clip it doesn't seem like he elevates as much as Jimmer, but he's got a nice stroke, that's for sure.Originally posted by KillerDog View PostI thought he was better than Emery and Mika and I think he's better than Jackson.
