A few thoughts from tonight.
Ryan Andrus is going to help BYU next year. He is not Mika but he fairly skilled and he plays big. He has also put on some muscle from last year.
Dalton Nixon I still don't see it. I am not expecting much from him.
AF has a 6'8 junior named Tyler Rawson. He is every bit as good as Nixon but can handle the ball. I would be surprised if he doesn't land some decent offers.
I am still a fan of Orem pg Quinn Peters. However the more I watch him the more I am reminded of Jace Tavita. He is good enough to play at the next level but he needs to develop a jumper.
Tj Haws was in straight eff you mode tonight. Absolutely dominated, he is special.
Frank Jackson is as fast end tk end with the ball as any high school player I have seen. He attacks nonstop. I am really excited about him. He also has a very smooth jumper, unfortunately it wasn't falling in this tournament.
Brendan Bailey still looks raw and his jumper is ugly.

Elder Hamson, Jennifer's younger brother, who is 7 foot 3. Is he on the radar?

If we signed Worthington, is this guy a recruit?"Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."
Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

I mentioned this kid earlier in this thread. Hunter's Noah Togiai.

I saw him at a couple tournaments, and thought he was very athletic. 6'4 210ish. Moves like a guard and plays above the rim. The most athletic kid I saw in watching about half the 5A/4A teams in action this summer. I would like to see him as a BYU WR. I guess he committed to the U for BB. I'm not completely convinced about his skill level, but he's still a junior, he can refine that. I think he might be a good find for Utah.

I was talking to a few guys in my ward about him. They played Lehi last week and they mentioned he was a freak athlete and I think he had 25 points.Originally posted by jay santos View PostI mentioned this kid earlier in this thread. Hunter's Noah Togiai.

Lehi has a kid that is a sophomore this year named Tanner Nygren. He played a little as a freshman last year. He is averaging 23 a game through the first 3 games so far. I think he is one to watch.
I know Westlake has a 6'7 kid Brayden Holker that is I believe a jr. who looks pretty solid as well.*Banned*

I wonder how likely Rose is to welcome in Jamal Aytes should the above thread be true. I think he would help solidify the 4 position for next year although he would not be eligible until mid December. BYU has a scholarship available for next semester so I would think BYU would be attractive. I would think it is a good pickup for BYU. I also think BYU still needs to go and get a 5 from JC ball.Do Your Damnedest In An Ostentatious Manner All The Time!

I'm choosing to mostly ignore your fatuity here and instead overwhelm you with so much data that you'll maybe, just maybe, realize that you have reams to read on this subject before you can contribute meaningfully to any conversation on this topic.

That would be a positive development, but given he can play on a struggling UNLV team, how much will he help BYU?Originally posted by Goatnapper'96 View Posthttp://www.cougarboard.com/board/mes...ml?id=11724059

Sports history is littered with guys who couldn't get playing time for one reason or another and then once they get an opportunity to play, they shine. Perhaps UNLV is struggling because the coach is playing the wrong guys.Originally posted by Topper View PostThat would be a positive development, but given he can play on a struggling UNLV team, how much will he help BYU?I'm like LeBron James.

Carlino is a case in point. And I was disappointed when he didn't end up at BYU in the first place, so we must have believed in him at the start.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostSports history is littered with guys who couldn't get playing time for one reason or another and then once they get an opportunity to play, they shine. Freshman Jimmer playing behind Murdock is another. Murdock might have been the worst point guard in the history of the world, but Jimmer could only muster 18 minutes per game backing him up. Based only on playing time and the guy he "couldn't" beat out, one would have to conclude freshman Jimmer was the worst PG in the history of the universe, would never be a D1 player and perhaps, just maybe, Waters really could shut him down.Originally posted by Topper View PostCarlino is a case in point. That was a strange situation. Murdock was the one of the worst shooting guards in BYU history.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostFreshman Jimmer playing behind Murdock is another.
