BYU will either have to win the WCC tourney or significantly upgrade their OOC schedule for a NCAA bid now.

Undoubtedly, by raising their basketball profile by joining the WCC, more and more quality OOC schools will be pounding the door to play in the Marriott Center; thereby bumping up our SOS to offset the hit from playing the likes of Loyola, Pepperdine, Santa Clara, San Francisco, etc.

I noticed you didn't mention Mighty Portland, JMHC victors.

Trading UNLV, UNM and SDSU is a slight downgrade when compared to playing Gonzaga, St. Mary and no tournament on UNLV's home court. Slight downgrade, not a fu BB.
Now look at the FB tradeoff and MONEY. Good deal me thinks.
I realize a large part of the BYU fanbase only cares about football, but this is not a positive for the basketball program.
Utah goes to the PAC 10 and BYU goes to the WCC. Holmoe might as well wear an assless skirt to the press conference tomorrow.
Indy, take a joke. I'm only saying this because like Pink Floyd this announcement has left me comfortably numb. Ok, so more numb than comfortable, but joking about it brings out the comfortable.

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

This is not a football nor a finance thread, it's a BYU basketball thread dealing with the effect of this on their national profile and prospects of a crappier SOS than before.
Since you're all about tough SOS, I would think you could grasp that aspect of this.
