Not a great last game, but a great season. What a fun ride while it lasted.

What a run at the end of the season! This team is an all time BYU great. Kevin Young: Coach of the Year.

My favorite season and team since Jimmer.

Me and the kids had fun at the game, notwithstanding the loss.

Thanks for representing CS in Jersey.

Fun to read the beginning of this thread - less than 12 months ago. BYU hadn't landed Demin yet. Hadn't landed Keita. People predicted Richie Saunders would come of the bench. People (me) crapping on Trey Stewart's game.

I don't fault anyone for predictions which turned out silly - it's super hard to anticipate the future. I think it's fun to look back at the recent past and see how much things change from what we thought we knew at the time.

It was a great season and if you had told me back when this thread started that BYU would tie for top 4 in the Big12 regular season and go to the Sweet 16, all under a new head coach, I would have thought you were smoking the loco weed. Major congratulations and thanks to Kevin Young, the coaching staff, and the players.

We need a bball thread for next season. But it needs to have an equally clever title.

In case many (and I assume most) have missed this, I recommend this Sleepers podcast about whether Egor will return next year. Among nother things, they discuss how Dybantsa wants Egor and Ritchie back, and how they think it'd be likely the best trio ever (nationally,, not just BYU). They both have a. lot of love for BYU and have observed how BYU has a unique hold on players who go there, and why Egor was so choked up after last night's game. If you want a mini-version, go straight to the 11:40 mark or so. These are exciting times.

I’ve grown to really like these Sleepers Media dudes. I know that they understand that talking mostly positively about BYU gets them a lot of clicks but they do sincerely seem to like the program.

I was wearing my lucky Cougar gear (they were undefeated in games I wore these clothes).

Washington Transfer Dominique Diomande Signs with BYU

                                https://www.vanquishthefoe.com/2025/3/29/24396926/washington-france-basketball-transfer-dominique-diomande-signs-with-byu-recruiting-portal

A native of Ivory Coast and France, Diomande signed with the Huskies mid-year and joined the team in January and redshirted. A 6-foot-8 forward, Diomande comes to BYU with NBA upside and a skillset ready to contribute now. Diomande has been projected to be a top-50 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft by DraftExpress.com and was named one of 11 “Under the Radar Freshmen with NBA Potential” by NBADraftRoom.com.

Diomande projects as a 3-and-D wing who can play either the three of four spots for BYU.

Diomande may not start, but I fully expect him to be part of the rotation. He will turn 20 in June and has multiple years of professional ball in Europe. He is not as experienced as Mawot Mag, but he will in some ways fill that defensive void and brings several intriguing tools on offensively with his athleticism, ability to put the ball on the floor, and score.
