As usual the matrix was right on for almost every team. The number to the left is the actual seed. The number to the right of the team is the average seed of the 100+ brackets. Memphis did better by 2 seeds and Louisville worse by 2-3 and I can understand the logic there. Pretty much everything else as expected with the exception of W. Virginia not making it.

Probably. In past years you had to wait until Monday but I seem to remember in recent years they've gotten faster about announcing that.

No one here that I know of said BYU was a lock at 5. The 6 was also the consensus on the bracket matrix.

BYU will get no respect until they demonstrate they can beat the VCUs of the world. It’s as good an opportunity as any to prove that they belong.

My thoughts slightly above in this thread:

"I really think a 5 was locked in with the second Iowa State win. I suppose I won't be terribly shocked if we drop to a 6 but I would be disappointed. 7 would be a slight."

I still think the same. I'm disappointed but not shocked. And 7 (like Jerry Palm had projected) would have been a slap in the face. I'm fine with the match up. A trip to the second weekend is there for the taking.
