That was a fun game and I'm happy about the outcome. Rocky is right...that was like how these basketball games used to be. Vranes/Chambers vs. Ainge/Roberts. Good times then.

HFN - the game on CBS-college sports is in HD.

So I went to the game tonight with HL, and we went in neutral colors and decided to watch the game and enjoy the game for what it was. I had a good time, it was a very good game. Lee Cummard was absolutely unbelievable tonight, he did not have an open look all night long, Utah was very physical with him and he stepped up. Tavernari was awful, Fredette had a lot of points but didnt play great. Chris Miles minus the free throws was better offensively against Nevill than Plaisted ever was.

Luke Nevill is a beast, I would give it to him on every trip down the floor. That last play was classic Boylen it seems like that is his one down fall as a coach. Also he went Bobby Knight on Drca and grabbed his jersey and pulled him straight to his face and went nuts. It was over the line, but the team obviously responded. Jimmer took a step back as a defender tonight, Kepkay abused him.

Overall a great game, solid atmosphere minus all the open seats. Congrats to utah.

Luke has really turned a corner as a player. He still shows up soft sometimes, but overall that guy has grown by leaps and bounds over the last two years.

Boylen might be crazy, but whatever he is doing is working because his players are responding, hustling, and playing well. Tonight, Utah re-introduced the offensive rebound to the Huntsman Center.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Including a huge one on a missed free throw up 4 with 30 seconds left.

Wasn't that JT's man? The guy acts like he's pouting.

                Why didn't Abuou play more?
                Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Actually it was either Lee or Jimmers man, I am guessing Jimmer he had the shooter.

Abouo (pronounced in his words AB-WOW) didnt play because Dave Rose has his rotation different this year, he has guys playing 1 position. Abouo is Lees backup and Lee was playing well and not in foul trouble so he wasnt getting the minutes. Tavernaris backup is Archie Rose and Noah Hartstock. The only player that plays 2 positions is Jimmer who moves from the 1 and the 2.

I kept saying that to myself during the game. Why do anything else? The guy hit everything he threw up and if it didn't go in it was because he got fouled and he'd just nail his free throws.

If the Utes don't go to Nevill on every possession it is a huge mistake. Right now Nevill is the best player in the MWC on the offensive and defensive end of the floor. He used to show flashes of greatness and then have a couple of awful games. He is now a consistently good player.

Obviously it doesn't work to go to the same player every single time. Do I have to explain why?

Actually the way BYU was not willing to double Nevill it actually would have last night.

Obviously you are right.... However, He should have at least touched the ball on the last play at the end of regulation. byu wasnt even double teaming him.

Nobody on the Y team can defend him and as long as BYU was refusing to double team him, there was no reason to not go to him. He scored about 12 straight at one time in the 1st half.

Save about 4 or 5 possessions, Miles was playing him pretty hard and forcing him away from the basket....but when a dude is swishing 13 foot hook shots, I mean at that point you just know you aren't gonna stop the guy.
