Oh man, I can't believe we forgot about the HC again. I'm glad we have friends like you to [constantly] remind us about it.Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.
Dig your own grave, and save!

I think he'll play in the league because he can really shoot the ball. I like his nose for it."So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Put into context with the other comments, not bad at all.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostGive 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

No kidding. That scout didn't have much positive to say about any of them.Originally posted by myboynoah View PostPut into context with the other comments, not bad at all.
You go up against the NBA's best and it exposes aspects of your game nobody ever even noticed. Great experience for Jimmer. Can't wait to see the boys in action. I think I'd rather just fast forward through football.

I'm with you. I don't really feel like this football season will be special good or amazingly bad. I suspect it will be rather pedestrian but not shocking in any way. As a result, I'm looking forward to basketball because I believe we have the pieces for an amazing team. If everything clicks, we could be a deep tournament team.Originally posted by jay santos View PostI think I'd rather just fast forward through football.

The Mike Loyd thing shakes me, but other than that BYU BB and FB seem like they're in completely different universes. FB you have all the self righteous fans and Bronco giving firesides and Bronco telling the fans they're idiots and pissing us off with spring ball and the school chewing up guys like Harvey and spitting them out and the conference problems are center stage. It just kills the joy for me. BB it's like me and 100 other fans following a fun team to watch without all that crap.Originally posted by KillerDog View PostI'm with you. I don't see us as being significantly better than we were last year. Maybe we can do enough to get a better seed in the tourney, and go another round, but that's about it.

I don't think we will start the season significantly better than we ended it last year but I think we could finish it significantly better than we finished last year. Jimmer, Jackson and Hartsock really developed during the season last year. They dramatically improved in some areas and improved a bit in other areas. Graduation losses hurt us some in areas like size underneath and experience at the 3/4 but I think we picked up some new and interesting skill sets from the long kid from AZ and the younger Collinsworth. I'm very curious to see how they get into the rotation. I also think a good season coming on the heels of last year's good season and the notoriety of Jimmer will give us a shot at a very solid seed in the tournament. Nothing helps in a tournament like a good seed.Originally posted by Indy Coug View PostI don't see us as being significantly better than we were last year. Last year I always felt Jackson was the barometer of how any given game would turn out. If he hit a few early 3s and was able to play his great passing lane defense (he is a terrible one on one defender against quick guards but a great help side and shooting guard defender) it was generally a good game. I'm sure that will still be true, but I think next years team will go as far as Davies can take them. He doesn't need to be a dominant big man, but he does need to be someone who can score both from the block and hit the 12 footer. If he can be counted on for 12-15 points a night this will be a very, very good offensive team.Originally posted by KillerDog View PostI don't think we will start the season significantly better than we ended it last year but I think we could finish it significantly better than we finished last year. Agree for the most part. With Loyd and with Davies improvement, I think we had a chance for top 10 and a 3 seed. Without Loyd and with Davies improvement being the only real upside, I think we'll be same as last year. Which was a hell of a lot of fun.Originally posted by Indy Coug View PostI don't see us as being significantly better than we were last year. I agree. I don't know how someone can't enjoy a 30 win season.Originally posted by jay santos View PostAgree for the most part.
