  • Key stat for tonights game.........

BYU is 2nd in the country in FG% and 7th in defensive rebounding.

Utah is 294th in the country in offensive rebounding.

2nd chance opportunities will be huge tonight.

I saw in the paper today that Utah leads the MWC in FG% defense, so we'll see how that matches up with BYU's FG%

They both shot 50% from the field. Seems like byu couldnt buy a free throw.

Chris Miles is horrible at the line. 2-9 I think he ended up.

Even though I was joking about it earlier, I honestly thought that down the stretch Utah should foul miles every time and put him at the line.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

The key stats for tonight's game were:
            1) Offensive rebounds - I don't think BYU had a single one the first half. Utah killed them with these, and not just at the end of the game. I'm not even sure it was a matter of not boxing out, as much as some lucky bounces, although that discrepancy can't be all luck.
            2) Miles from the line. If he could even pull off 3-for-9, we win the game. This one's on you, Miles. Or on the coaching. The guy just plain looks terrible on the line. He walks away as he shoots.

EDIT: I just read that cougjunkie called the offensive rebounding stat in the first post. Nice job. I was just going to wonder why no one was mentioning this.
At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah
