All of the games in SLC were awesome, unless you had a rooting interest in any of the teams.....then Pepto sales were brisk.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostThose last few minutes were insane. SU, I'm trying to build my vocabulary. If getting "trounced" is the proper characterization of BYU's loss to KSU, how would you describe Utah's losses to BYU this year?Originally posted by SeattleUte View PostJust becuase BYU got trounced by Kansas State doesn't mean K-State is THAT good. Over on Utefans they were saying the tournament is K-State's to lose. Sheesh. This is the second game against a non-power team in which K-State is having to fight with every last ounce.

That was a great game. Butler has proven itself as rather resilient down the stretch now against both K-State and Syracuse. Their defense has been terrific here in SLC.
They still have some work to do, but I wouldn't be surprise if this team wins it all. Hopefully, WV will help them out by eliminating Kentucky and Baylor will do the same to Duke."Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." - Winston Churchill

This has been the theme of the tournament. Kansas wasn't THAT good. Syracuse wasn't THAT good. None of the high seeded teams that lost were THAT good.Originally posted by SeattleUte View PostEat your hearts out BYU fans. This could have been you. Stewart Mandel was right, this region was soft, and the regional was in Salt Lake City! You will never again get so good a chance to get the precious gold ring that is the Final Four.
Or perhaps the teams that won were better.Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Seeing that the Orange is down and out, I am officially Butler's #1 fan on CUF. It is the perfect Cinderella story. Fighting their way to the Sweet 16 and then slaying the giant (Syracuse) and continue the journey back to their hometown...Insianapolis!! It is a great story and I am officially on the Butler Band Wagon...All aboardOriginally posted by Jarid in Cedar View PostOne more "1" seed to go....

What a great game to attend. I thought K-state would be too athletic for Butler. Obviously I was wrong. I think the most impressive thing is that Butler doesn't wilt when the other team starts a run. They just stick with their game plan-good defense, rebound, and a high-percentage shot."You interns are like swallows. You shit all over my patients for six weeks and then fly off."

Gordon Hayward for Butler is pretty good -- he's sort of like Jimmer with 7 more inches.Originally posted by hostile View PostWhat a great game to attend. I noticed this as well. I think it has something to do with the fact that they play a lot of good teams before they get to conference play. They are not a typical small conference team in that they've already played the big dogs before getting to the dance.Originally posted by hostile View PostWhat a great game to attend. Just for kicks I looked up their schedule and noticed they played: Minnesota, UCLA, Clemson, Georgetown, Ohio State, and Xavier. That's one heckuva nonconference schedule."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes.
