It was a good season. Got over the NCAA hump. There will be enough coming back to have another good one next year. Rose and company need to get a good JC big man who can come in and play D and rebound. I expect Davies to put on some weight and develop into a more consistent scoring threat. I'm excited to see what Jimmer and Loyd can do together next year.

Yep. A year of experience and maturity from Davies will really help. He was playing at Provo High 12 months ago.

They keep talking about getting a good JC big man on CB too. Who is this guy and does he have any desire to live in Provo and deal with the honor code?

I guess my point is this - unless I'm not aware of somebody, there simply aren't a lot of good JC big men out there. In fact, I can't think of any solid big men playing on good D1 teams that came from the JC ranks.

we need a decent jc big man, not a great one. hell, we could use a 6-7 thick power forward who can bang, grab boards and throw some elbows. some one like that has to be available.

I highly doubt BYU finds a big man out there playing JUCO ball that is going to be the player many BYU fans want to see.

Davies is young and has talent. Put 20 pounds on that kid and he will be a player. He is the best hope down low for BYU.

Hell of a season for BYU. Record breaking season in fact. I am proud of our boys. That was a good team they lost to and they had chances to be in it but just couldn't capitalize on it. Pullen did an amazing job on Fredette. He had a career night at both ends. Rose couldn't do much with everyone taller than 6' 5" on our team in foul trouble. He's a great coach. I am glad he's ours as I don't think we could do any better.

We'll be back next year. This team can duplicate this season again and that has me excited.

Are you saying coaching didn't make a difference tonight? I stopped watching so I honestly don't know. Just noting that I can't think of a MWC team who beat a team they weren't seeded above since the fat man. I'm only sophisticated enough to see good adjustments when I see them. Rose is the cream of the MWC, no question.

Sounds like you need Alex Jensen, just like we did.

On this note, is Rose a lifer now? I was wondering before the game, if BYU keeps winning and gets to the elite 8 or final 4, would he jump at a higher profile job? Before his bout with cancer I would have said yes, but now I don't know.

Well, the Coug players have two straight years of experience in the Dance and know how to win there. And, that Jimmer guy is coming back. I'd say you all have a lot to look forward to.
