I just rewatched it and no one said they liked Florida in the game. They said that they liked that Florida and Minnisota made it into the Tourney, but that was it.
Ok... The volume was very low and all I heard was "I like Florida".
6 guys play 25+ minutes, they are not really deep no one else plays more than 10.
6'10 Vernon Macklin: Averages 10 and 5. Shooting 60% from the floor.
6'9 Chandler Parsons: Averages 12 and 6.8, shooting 50% from the floor
6'8 Dan Werner: Averages 4.6 and 4 rebounds per game, Shooting 32% from the floor and 25% from three.
6'8 Alex Tyus: averages 12 and 6.8 as well, shooting 51% from the floor.
Guards:
Kenny Boynton 6'2 guard, Has taken 423 shots this year and made 157, shooting 37% from the floor, and 28% from three.
Erving Walker: 5'8 guard, averages 12.6 points, is shooting 34% from the floor and 35% from three.
They are definitely guard oriented everything starts with the two little guys up top.
For all intensive purposes, BYU got a 5 seed. Florida should have been the last team to get into the tourney but somehow ended up with a 10 instead of a 12. Seems like BYU should be able to exercise its NCAA tourney demons in the first round. Unfortunately, I'm thinking that K-State will grind BYU into bolivian.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”
If Jimmer were healthy (no mono) things would have been a little different. Now that he's got yet another week to get stronger, I think they'll play better than a 7 seed.
If they can upset K State, they've got either an overseeded Pitt or a 6 seed Xavier (or lower seeds) in Salt Lake.
I'm kind of liking where they are.
If we disagree on something, it's because you're wrong.

Local talking heads in SoCal like the Cougzz against Florida.
Coach O'Neill (from SC) is guest coach in studio right now and he and Steve Hartman both think BYU should advance to play K-State. Also, some nice words about Coach Rose and Jimmer.
Ay, there's the rub. If we beat Florida, we're playing K-State in their backyard.
As much as I hate Jimmer sometimes acting like a pre-madonna and shooting the ball too much, he's the only chance we've got against K-State.

I have believed that BYU will win a game this year all season. If this team doesn't win on Thursday I don't believe they will ever win and NCAA game. I still think we can and will win. However it is do or die with my faith in the Cougars this year.
I think we'll definitely get the first round, which will be huge for us. Hopefully it will be enough to rally the team to beat K-state, because I think we would perform REALLY well in salt lake.
I'm totally getting ahead of myself right now.
