The schizophrenia displayed by this team is astounding. Overall, it's not a good team, but it wins enough to make me think that it has underachieved.

Ah, well. Nothing I can do about it. I'll just watch and cheer for them.
Were you at the game? How was the crowd(size and energy)?

No, I watched it on tv. The crowd didn't look very big on the screen.

It makes me sad for how the crowds were when i was in medical school...waiting in line overnight to get tickets to see Wake and Duncan, UNM and Kenny Thomas

Average turnout. Whit and wife were there, on the kiss cam. What has seriously deteriorated is the muss. There were less than 50 MUSSers with the tie dye shirts, and another 50 who wear the red shirts. Not a force to be reckoned with anymore. Maybe exams are this week?

I love the little hoki-poki dance that the bird does with the MUSS. It looks like a caucasian version of the Haka.

I was seriously disappointed Darger wasn't there. He makes it to the UNLV-BYU games.

Eeyore, the old grey Donkey, stood by the side of the stream, and looked at himself in the water.
"Pathetic," he said. "That's what it is. Pathetic."
He turned and walked slowly down the stream for twenty yards, splashed across it, and walked slowly back on the other side. Then he looked at himself in the water again.
"As I thought," he said. "No better from this side. But nobody minds. Nobody cares. Pathetic, that's what it is."

Based on the MUSS turnout, exams were last week, and the week before, and the week of every home game since the start of the season.

the creation of Section F has helped alleviate some of the "atmosphere" lost by student apathy, but there's nothing to be said for it, really.

Didn't UNLV go like 9-10 from 3 to start the BYU game?

Yes. The team that hasn't ever hit more than 11 3's in a game did that in the first half alone versus BYU. That was an incredibly lucky shooting game for the Rebels.

Maybe its that vaunted ute 3-point defense.

The utes gave unlv open looks all night long and time after time the rebels would aimlessly pass back and forth on the perimeter. Jimmer would have cleaned up.

Amen to that. I was at the game as well and it honestly felt like I was watching two entirely different Ute teams trading off duties throughout the game. By the time UNLV tied it up near the end, I was just shaking my head. Glad we pulled it out.
Kids in general these days seem more socially retarded...

None of them date. They hang out. They text. They sit in the same car or room and don't say a word...they text. Then, they go home and whack off to internet porn.

I think that's the sad truth about why these kids are retards.

It is rather rough. Every game is getting 7K to 9K fans. I just don't understand it. The Section F fans do a good job...these are all past graduates varying in ages and they get good attendance even though most have families, etc...they are showing up and standing all game long. Then you have the student section where they are getting 30-50 fans. I seriously don't understand. I know the Utes have been up and down, but going with your friends to a game with a fun atmosphere and usually good competitive games--why aren't they going? Strange.

This is the one thing that has really killed attendance. If the students won't show up, who will?

Plus, the kids who are students now, are your future season ticket holders.

This doesn't bode well for attendance over the next 5 years.
