BYU v. New Mexico (probably a barometer game)

If BYU falls in the Pit tonight (as I expect) we wil know that BYU was just this week's ESPN play thing, and Digger was right about it being hugely overrated.

When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him.

New Mexico would be favored at home according to Sagarin against all but the top 9 teams in the nation. But, sure, yeah, whatever.

Whatever is right. If BYU loses at NM you won't see "BYU could win it all blah blah blah blah..." I'm not saying they still won't be top 25 and the best team in the MWC.

But if BYU wins you will see even MORE of it. So gird your loins, Mr. positive thinker, you might be in for a headache inducing week.
        PLesa excuse the tpyos.

We can seriously start thinking about a 3 seed with a win tonight. As of right now, I don't buy the Lunardi bracketology. I'm expecting three more losses on the season with one of them being tonight.

If BYU can keep its regular season losses to 2 or 3, then BYU really could end up with a 3 seed.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

You are obviously not hungry like the wolf.

BYU is going to win tonight.
            Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

I have a good feeling BYU will win this game, but I don't have a good feeling about my good feeling.

BYU will probably lose tonight. The Pit is tough and UNM is a solid and well-coached team.

I can't believe that this game has been a Pick'em on some sites. A bet on UNM should be easy money -- I think BYU would need at least 5 points in the Pit before I would think about putting money on the Cougs.

                  I hope I'm wrong.

                    Agreed.
Heaven help us all if Lonnie Dixon is working the game.

PS: No pregame on KSL. President's SOTU speech instead. Hope they switch to the game right on time.
